I placed my order for a pair of pants and a top on 12/13 to be given as gifts. By 12/25, I still did not receive the items. Then, I received an apologic email stating that the order will be free due to the delayed shipping. On 1/2, I checked my email and there was a credit for my pants (but not the top). So, I called their customer service line and was put on hold for at least 10 minutes while the customer service representative "researched" my case. It turns out that pants were sold out and thus the refund for the pants. However, since the top was "in transit" (neither their carrier nor AnnTaylorLoft.com had any more information), I would not receive my refund (due to late delivery) until after I received the item.
How is this for twisted logic? I would not receive my refund for the already delayed (and supposedly free) sweater until it arrives. Of course, if it does get lost in transit, well, that would take yet another 2 weeks for them to research and get back to me... So, at the end, not only do I not have the items that I ordered, I would have wasted hours of my time on nothing. My refund is not even guaranteed on my top. Got to love it.
So, in summary. This is a classic example of poor fulfillment and customer service. I do not recommend ordering from AnnTaylorLoft.com. This was my most frustrating online shopping experience.
