OK, I stole that line from some movie, but it fits. I've tried AMS 3 or 4 times now, and in every case, the item they shipped me looked like it had been packed by a chimp with an attitude problem and a splinter in his butt. The last time, I paid them 20 bucks to "double over pack" the item, [a 3 thousand dollar DAW], and so it arrived with a small sheet of bubble wrap on TWO sides [wow] of the factory box, [which looked like someone had ridden a mountain bike over it], and the DAW was damaged beyond my realm of ability as an electronics technician to repair. The other six sides of the box had no packing material at all to protect it from the Unconscious Package Sling. They did take all the items back and refunded my money,[is there any question as to whether they should have or not...?] but I'll never see a dime for all the time I wasted, and my time is as precious to me as yours is to you. Next time I need a piece of gear, I'm going to drive to the manufacturer's outlet store, cross country if necessary, and then tie a rope to my bumper and DRAG the box home. That way, it'll arrive in better shape. After writing, all of this, I realized that if you are about to go shoping on-line for musical equipment, there's a lot more you should know. I've dealt with them all, and learned much. Do yourself a favor, and read all of the "comments" about this writing. Some of them, [you'll know which] were also written by me, and contain "must read" info, if you want to roll the dice with on-line music stores. Good luck! Theo
