Again Amazon is delaying processing on another order from me and apparently many others also. Amazon just sits on a order for a few days before they begin to process orders. If they don't want their customers to use the free shipping option then don't offer it. I think they're just trying to push people into paying for the standard shipping. Probably a cash cow for them. The people who run Amazon probably don't know or have forgotten their company mission statement.

Here is why I love amazon.com. Three years ago, I ordered George R.R. Martin's "A Dance with Dragons"--three years later, the book has finallly been published. I bought it for my son, who has moved since then, but never thought to change the shipping address. So this morning, the package was left by UPS at the door of an apartment where some stranger just got a nice gift. When I finally realized what had happened, I called UPS--there's nothing they can do. Called amazon, and they immediately offered to refund my complete purchase price plus shipping. What great customer service!

Living here on the country side in Japan, there are lots of stuff which are here at AMAZON not available, so I buy from the US. Last order was an Ukulele and I unpacked it on the 6th day after placing my order! And this with under $ 20.00 shipping cost by DHL. Other Music stores will charge me around $ 60-70!!Thanks AMAZON!

I loved Amazon when I bought actual books but ever since I got the Kindle, I have fallen slightly out of love with it. The prices, though they are much cheaper than an actual book, are still pretty high for a single file. Also, I have found more errors in the newest e-book I bought than I have found in an actual paper and cover book.

Also, NEVER, EVER buy used CDs or DVDs through Amazon. You may think that you bought a slightly used CD/DVD but you end up getting one that is scratched and nicked like a 3 year old was chewing on it.

Since that experience I have only ever bought brand new items from Amazon and will continue to do so.

BEWARE of shipping fees! Amazon.com is not safer than other sites! After paying 80$ for shipping a pair of folding bike tires worth 119$, I learned that Amazon.com has no protection against such outrageous practices by the companies they host on their website. So I will not waste my money (it is usually cheaper to buy directly than through Amazon) and I will stop buying through Amazon from now on.

I ordered two items in order to qualify for the free shipping for orders over $25.
When I received the email receipt it showed the orders being sent separately and shipping charges --lots of shipping charges.
I immediately sent an email to cancel the order if they were not going to honor the free shipping they advertised.  They had the gall to claim it was two separate orders therefore would not get free shipping!   That is a bunch of baloney as when one completes the order process it clearly shows that the order WAS eligible for free shipping!  If they have to ship from two locations, that is their problem not mine!

I have sent 3 more emails to cancel the order.  They have repeatedly ignored them and have shipped the items.


They are liars and their so-called customer service people do not read -- when I write cancel the order that is what I meant.

I have been a customer of Amazon.com since its inception many years ago. 

Recently I ordered a pair of shoes through a third party seller on amazon.  I used amazon because I thought I could trust their "partners" to give me good customer service.  I was wrong.  The shoes arrived as a mismatched pair.  I attempted to contact the seller through amazon and got no response for almost a week.  In fact the seller did not respond until I contacted Amazon and complained.  The seller was not cooperative--they wanted me to pay for the return  of the defective shoes--but I insisted that the send me a prepaid label--which they finally did.  Amazon Customer service tries to distance themselves from their third party sellers--as though they have no responsibility for  their poor service--even though the seller advertise on the amazon web site. 

Almost three weeks out--still no refund.  Won't be using amazon again.

I've been an avid Amazon shopper and have been very satisfied with all my purchases and the great prices.  Except for recently...all their "free shipping" is going to postal service usps, which delays shipment for me several days.  I was getting my deliveries within a week, now it is taking 2 weeks.  I won't spend the money to do the prime shipping-it's too expensive for a yearly fee.  With the shipping delays, it's the same as ordering from Walmart.com now.  And I'm shopping several websites now before orderding from Amazon because of this shipping delay.

Amazon used an inferior unknown shipping company to ship my order to me. LaserShip (the company Amazon used) was unable to find my house. It is hard to believe that they couldn't find it. Everyone else can. It was very difficult to contact this company. The delivery people were not intelligent enough to look online to find directions to my house. After numerous emails, I was finally able to contact them and send very detailed directions. I contacted Amazon about this and they did absolutely nothing. If Amazon continues to use Lasership, I will make my purchases elseware. Amazon did an extremely poor job in this situation.

I have shopped with Amazon for a couple of years and bought several items.  All the experiences were pleasant except the last.  I bought Primal Lean Diet Supplement and on the Amazon web site was given a money back guarantee.  The supplement did not work.  I requested a refund from the people that sold it on Amazon and got no response so I requested a refund from Amazon and was refused.

I will not buy from Amazon again becaue this product was on their web site, guaranteed, and they did not stand behind their word.

I've been using Amazon more and more lately.  The recommend a book feature is pretty good.  However, it gets pretty messed up if you buy things for others.  If you use Amazon to buy gifts, it starts to think you are a 5 year old who likes games, while cutting the grass and drinking beer on weekends.  But, their delivery is good and if you just buy for yourself, good service.
