I have ordered from Amazon.com on many occasions with reasonably good success. However, I find that upon ordering over $200.00 worth of books on 3/3/10 with free shipping which states 5-9 days for free shipping but after not receiving an e-mail that my order had shipped on 3/9/10 I went online to see what the hold-up was. My order was not due to be shipped until between March 29 to April 1. It took awhile but I finally found the phone number and called them. Come to find out when you check free shipping they "ship at their own discretion," which means in essence that they do not honor their "free shipping in 5-9 days." I asked about the other shipping days, for instance regular shipping is 3-5 days and I was told "those orders go out the next day because the shipping is paid for" - he actually said that. So after some conversation with my husband we decided to cancel the order completely. It's hard to believe that they do not honor the "free shipping" on orders over whatever it is usually like $25.00 to $150.00. Right now I cannot see myself ever ordering from amazon.com again. But you never know what will happen in the future.
