In summary: Amazon Customer support is HELPLESS - do not bother contacting them. NO HELP, NO ACCOUNTABILITY = WASTE OF TIME.
I ordered a bicycle from the marketplace (Niagara Cycle), 5 days later - did not ship, after 3 e-mails to both Amazon and Niagara... and another 3 days - response that they will refund the shipping cost (big deal - $16 on $200 purchase!) two more days later, the - 10 days total after order I sent them an e-mail that I can not wait to post a feedback on the site about this buying experience; response = canceled the order immediately (within 1/2 hour) which only brings one conclusion - they want to silence my mouth because I can not rate the seller when the order is canceled. Contacted Amazon CS to have the order re-instated - they refused. The responses from Amazon provide no solution what so ever. I must have exchanged at least 6 e-mails with different people at Amazon and I have clearly stated that I am still interested in purchasing the bicycle (unfortunately not many merchants have that one and I do have Amazon gift card I want to use) but they do not care to facilitate this – they would not contact the seller, would not re-instate the order, would not verify availability – they just don’t give a… Meanwhile the bike is still listed on Amazon’s site as “in stock” and seller claims to have very high ratings – well no wonder they do control them.
I am quite disgusted with the whole experience - will stay away from AMAZON in the future.
