I love the cheap prices, the free shipping, and where I live... no taxes on products. Can you tell I'm frugal?

I have purchased a computer, mice, keyboard, software, printer, photo paper, books (both via Amazon and other sellers). Never have I experienced any problems with any part of the buying/shipping process or the products themselves.

Although sometimes the free super saver shipping can take a while, if you make separate orders (ie don't put all your products in one cart on one order), the products will ship quicker and will arrive on average in about 5 days.

I have never received a damaged product or anything that looked re-issued, re-packaged or refurbished.

I also like how the store will remember the products you've looked at and show similar products and make recommendations based on what you have browsed, purchased, or added to your wish-list.

Additionally if the recommendations are something you are completely uninterested in, you can tweak the settings and tell Amazon you are "not interested". Very cool.

The wish list feature is very nice for simply browsing and not feeling like you have to book mark every possibility in your browser. The wish lists can be edited, products deleted, or other products added at any time. As long as you are logged in as your user, the settings will travel with you to the next computer.

Amazon's storefront is relatively easy to navigate. Products are categorized nicely and search results are usually extensive. If there is one drawback to Amazon it is the shear mass of products offered (this can be a feature too). Sometimes multiple versions of a product are available at the same time (take the iPod "generations" as an example) which I could see might be confusing if you didn't take the time to compare and know which was the latest release of the product.

Before I buy in the store, I always price check Amazon first for the best deal (which it usually is). Plus I can save the hassle (and gas) of running out to my local retailers to try to find the product.

I save on:

- price
- shipping
- tax
- gas
- time

Added all up Amazon is a pretty good deal.
