Click for the full in-depth breakdown of this website! Amazon is one of the more popular websites to purchases various items and products from. However, this review will go in and breakdown the site and tell you what separates it from the rest of the millions of online store sites!

Site Design
The site has a very conservative, yet highly interactive design. It is nice and colorful with an easy lay out. The links are clearly visible and you don’t have to second guess where they will take you. It is very easy to navigate around this site. Even using the general search bar that will search the entire site, this is also very accurate as well. Finding what you want on this site isn’t the problem. The problem lies when you are trying to decide if you want a good purchase on a new item or a better purchase on a used item.

Unboxed
For this feature you will need a PC. Yes, PC only it will not work in MACs yet. Also your PC must be running Windows XP. I am sure other versions of Windows will be made available soon, but not right now. There are a specific set of requirements for computer hardware, such as a 2.4 GHz processor, 256MB of RAM and direct X 9.0; if your computer can run Windows XP it will more then likely run this program too. However, you do need a broadband connection speed (Cable/DSL) internet.

So what is this feature of the website about? Yup, amazon.com isn’t just about purchasing used and new items for usually cheaper then you can get them else where. On Amazon.com you can also buy or rent movies or TV shows. The quality is that of a regular DVD. SO don’t think you will be downloading the new HD-Movie experience. I am sure that will come in the future, but it’s not an option yet. All of the top movies are available for download along with some of the better TV shows. Overall while I prefer xboxlive marketplace and most people do. This service isn’t a bad one. If you give it a try you will not be disappointed. It offers pretty much the same movies and TV shows all the other movie/TV show download services do. The main difference with xboxlive market place is you can only rent them, but HI-Def movies are an option for download.

It also allows digital music downloads. Prices for album downloads vary from about $5.00 to 12.00 dollars. While music singles are.89 cents. Which are actually about 10 cents cheaper then most services. Of course they pretty much offer everything other music download services do.

You will not be disappointed with this service if you give it a try.

Good and bad apples
Yes, every time I have purchased an item off of Amazon.com it hasn’t always gone smoothly. I will break this down to give you more information into what I mean.

Purchasing new items directly from amazon.com
I have never, ever encountered a problem, while I purchased an item directly from amazon.com. The items have always shipped in time, or they gave me prompt notice that the item had been delayed. I have never done a purchase and not received the item I ordered in excellent condition. That is one of the reasons I am not afraid to use amazon.com and also highly recommend it for others.

Purchasing used items from other sellers through amazon.com
Yes, even when you buy used items to a certain extent you are going through amazon.com, but amazon.com isn’t responsible for shipping the item to you only the transaction of funds. I have never paid for an item I didn’t receive as amazon.com has many safety features to protect buyers against scams. They have many easy to file complaint forms that will reimburse you the entire amount you paid if you didn’t receive an item you paid for. When I buy used I will generally always check feedback first and if they don’t have any I am leery about buying their product. Overall, I would say I have received 98% of the products I have bought used at amazon.com. I would also like to state now that I have started to always factor in seller feedback I have received 100% of products I have purchased.

Overall
I have ordered a lot of used and new items off of amazon.com and will continue to do so with confidence. This is an excellent site where you can get really good deals and save money on new and used items. There are many safeguards in place to both protect the buyer and the seller, so there is no reason to buy with confidence. The site design is really easy to navigate and you can always find what product you are looking for. Go to the site register and let the shopping begin. Or you can start your digital downloading movie service to begin. Anyway you slice it; this is an excellent retailer’s website that you don’t have to worry from buying off of. I will continue to do a lot of shopping off of this site and other people should too!
