Amazon Marketplace

I find online prices to be lower than local retailers. It's interesting to see the large price differences, even online, for the exact same product. Shipping is prompt but can sometimes add considerably to the cost of an item.  I always check out free shipping options first.

On a Saterday afteernoon, I searched for a book.I was amazed it only took a minute to locate, than the computer walked me through and customer service was great.I would shop there again and again.There variety and there easy to use web site with very good hyperlinks were amazing.I called all  my friends and family and told them where to shop.When i finally recieved my order <IT ONLY TOOK TWO DAY>
I was very pleased they offered a 100% satisfaction on the correct order.from the computer to the door was only two days> come on you gotta try AMAZON MARKETPLACE.I did.

Vendors beware! If you want to associate your business with Amazon - think twice! The interface which registers customers on Amazon is horrible. A week after you dont receive what you ordered it forgets you ever existed. It happened to me twice: once with a laptop battery and once with the car part order. Shopping on Amazon has been my worst experience and I shall NEVER buy anything from them.

I ordered a Garmin GPS from VibeCellular.com which is part of this amazon marketplace.  When the order was placed I received an email that my order would ship within two day.  I waited three days and heard nothing more from them so I tryed to call but of course they will not answer their phone.  I emailed them and received an email back that I would be receiving my GPS on the following Tuesday.  That Monday I received an email from them telling me my order was cancelled (the day before it was supposed to arrive). 

I don't know how most of you feel about this sort of thing but I dislike being lied to and taken advantage of.  I needed that GPS for a trip and they left me hanging and on my own to go out and buy one at a much higher price at the last minute.

I would never suggest anyone buy anything from VibeCellular and I hope they go out of business!

Remastered CD came with big greasy thumbprint on it. Was someone eating fried chicken while they were packing it? Didn't even want to put it in my player.

Amazon is really amazing. Great selection for customers and quick delivery. Customer Sevice is helpful and excellent. I always enjoy my shopping at amazon.

I've lost money at two separate marketplace stores, caimon and wicked wolf press. Caimon backordered the item until my time ran out, then ignored my many emails requesting status.  Wicked Wolf Press put me on hold to "look into it" and I haven't heard back yet.  Additionally, you pay up front, instead of when the product ships, but it takes longer for processing and shipping, yet you are still paying for 3 to 5 day shipping.


UPDATE: Since I put this opinion in place, Wicked Wolf Press made good on my order, so I've only lost money on Caimon now.

Having anguished over the selection of a small network enabled color laser printer, I final chose the Brother HL-4040CN.

Next was to find the right price from a reputable supplier. Via Epinions, I visited the Amazon site and found the printer was being sold through an Amazon.com "trusted seller", esellerutrust, at one of the lowest prices available on the internet. I placed my one-click order.

Three days later (several days earlier than anticipated), my printer, which was received excellently packed, was up and running.

I have never had a bad shopping experience with Amazon.com, but even I was impressed with the efficiency of this order.

I placed an order for a book I needed for class. The statement at the bottom said "Usually ships in 10-12 days". I thought they were leaving themselves a wide window but it would probably arrive on time for class. That was Jan 12. Today is Jan 30 and I find out that they did not have it in stock and had to special order it. When I spoke to customer service I asked why the web site didn't tell me the book was not in stock and had to be special ordered. Their response, well it said 10-12 days for shipping. So, I was supposed to know that, right? If they can say that an item is in stock why can't they clearly say that it is not in stock and will have to be ordered? Put simply, marketing deception. I will avoid doing business with Amazon in the future and look to a company that has more integrity in dealing with customers.

I always trust Amazon! They stand by their products and merchants.

I've  had small problems in the past but their customer service people were always willing to help.

Amazon is a rip off for all sellers, they freeze your funds randomly and have a team in India called Alliance that deals with suspension and they suck: Broken english, conflicting reasons, Class law suit to start in MA but need 3 more victims of Amazon Alliance abuse. I attempted to place an order with one of Amazon.com's Marketplace Stores. I put 14 toys in my cart totaling $100 and they were going to charge me almost $72 in shipping costs! It turns out that most of the stores at Amazon charge on a PER ITEM basis rather than a PER SHIPMENT basis. How do they legally get away with this consumer rip off? I called Amazon customer service and their only advice was to contact the seller directly. I don't think Amazon should let their sellers get away with this. Shame on you all!

I have had many problems with Amazon.com. I have bought from Amazon a few times before without problem. Now I am getting many problems. They said my credit card information does not match the billing address, which it does. Amazon requested my credit card information, over email, how is that safe? They asked for the telephone number on the back of my credit card. I send them the number and they state it is the wrong number. It has been 3 weeks from my order and they still will not process it! In the same order I purchased cell phone covers and cases, and they cnarged and sent those, but not the rest of the order. I call customer service and they say they can not help me, how is that customer service???

Amazon.com is a good site to purchase books and DVDs/CDs. I find the selection to be great ... you can find most of what you are looking for here. If there is a product that you cannot find on Amazon, you can usually get some suggestions of other things   Read full review...

Amazon is ingenious at manipulating orders, canceling orders, etc., to handle their own poor planning, and their customer service is non-existent. Don't rely on pre-ordering through them, and don't rely on them to deliver in time for any special event. And if you have a problem, expect a lot of automated emails and no possibility of personalized help.

NEVER SHOP AMAZON.com

I ordered a MX revolution mouse and the advertised price was $36.99 with free shipping compared to the normal price of $99.99 i thought it was a good deal even for black friday.
after I ordered it from amazon I was waiting for it to ship. a few days later I received an email saying the item will be delayed and will ship on a later date (1 week after the last estimated ship date) Then a few days later i receive another email saying my order was cancelled because the advertised price was wrong. I thought it was againts the law to not honor an advertised price.
because of this "runaround" and COMPLETE LIE from amazon I will never buy from them again EVER.
