Item never shipped, had to pull teeth to get find out where it was.

I ordered a sewing basket on 11/12/09, received confirmation of processing (ie, my card was charged) and I contacted them via e-mail a week later when I hadn't received either the item or any correspondence.
*I* had to call the company to see what was going on with my order, at which time they sent me a link to its supposed FedEx status.  When the status remained "information received" for 4 days, I contacted them again via e-mail, they said that they'd trace the shipment and that would take 24 hours.  After 48 hours, I e-mailed them to find out the status.
I didn't hear anything from them for 4 days when *I* called them.  What did they tell me?  The item is out of stock, but that they'll refund my money and notify me when it's available again.
I will never shop from All Makes Vacuums ever again.  Glad I didn't wait until the last minute to buy this gift.

All I ever recieved about my order which is #42053 is that it was being processed on 10/10/07. And quite frankly I forgot about it till this survey came this morning. So please tell me where is the product??? And please give me a good reason why it's taking 3 weeks to get to me...for almost $8 it should have come first class if not priority....

Excellent customer service beyond my expecataions. I ordered a part and was given tips on installation to keep the timing correct on the machine. Very pleasant person to speak with and was NOT demeaning in any fashion, as experianced at competitive stores. Shippment received much faster than expected. I will definatly contact them with any future questions or parts needed.

Unfortunately, the part that I ordered was unavailable, and an incorrect part was shipped in it's place, twice. The vendor, eventually, recognized the problem, and made every effort to accomodate me, though, the part, ultimately, was no longer available. Owner was responsive and cordial, left me feeling as good as I could after a month or so of sending the wrong parts back and forth.

I initially had ordered a motor and cord winder for my Miele canister, but when I had a question about installing the cord winder Carl explained over the phone how I could actually repair the cord winder without having to purchase a new one. He then credited my account for the $90 the cord winder would have cost me! I saved $90! He could have let me buy that part and not told me how to repair it, but obviously runs his business in a honest manner! I would definitely recommend his store to anyone!

My experience was just fine. We have ordered from these guys before. I usually order 24 packages of bags for our commercial vacuum at a time and this last order I realized that the price on the bags had gone up $2 per pack. I called Carl and he immediately adjusted the price for us! Thanks!

After reading what the person said about All Makes I felt I should write something. I normally would not write a review of a business and then I realized that most often it is the people who have a bad experience with a business that tend to write. As I am housebound I do most of my shopping online if possible and I have purchased an air purifier, a vacuum cleaner as well as parts for my old vacuum from All Makes. I now have made about 6 or 7 purchases from them over the last year or so and I have had nothing but a positive shopping experience every time with them. On the rare occasion when they were out of stock, they offered free shipping and once they even shipped me an extra package of bags when they were waiting for a supplier.

Excellent customer service! I called and talked to Carl needing information regarding my central vacuum. I got the right info I needed, and placed my order. There was a problem with FedEx and he went to bat for me. Got FedEx to reimburse the shipping and all is good. I would have no problem doing business with these people again. If I ever need anything else for my central vacuum, Carl is the person I will ask for. A++

This was was one most pleasant online shopping experiences I have ever had. I needed a motor for my Miele canister vacuum and the nice people were extremely helpful on the phone. I placed my order and I had the parts I needed within about 4 days. I HIGHLY recommend All Makes Vacuums!

I would NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING from All Makes Vacuums again. I strongly recommend people stay away from this merchant. I have NOT received my order after over 3 weeks. I have made repeated phone calls trying to find my parts and get excuses. I am made promises, and they are never followed through. All Makes Vacuum IS A CLASSIC RIP-OFF COMPANY. STAY CLEAR !!!!!!

I made the phone call as I was having trouble with making my purchase with my credit card - my mistake as I was trying to use Master Card and the Visa was up. I called and the gentleman I spoke with was so helpful with the card. He then went on to explain how best to use this battery. I would definitely shop here again.

There was a shipping mix-up, but the merchant immediately shipped the correct part while waiting for FedEx to retrieve my incorrect part. Overall the delay added about 4 days to my fulfillment time, at no cost to me. I would definitely shop with this vendor again based on his quick and thorough response to a problem.

very good customer service. I called for more information because I wasn't sure exactly which part I needed. Person who answered the phone was polite and transferred my call quickly. Carl answered the phone, and then asked to return my call because he was helping others. He promptly returned my call, gave me the information I needed to make the right selection, and processed my order. Carl confirmed the order information, told me when to expect the product, and to contact him if I had any concerns or problems. Very nice shopping experience. I would definitely shop here again and r4commend shop to others.

While they had a better price than 2 other merchants, it took 7 days before the package even left their warehouse. Then it was another 5 days for shipping. The tracking information at first showed the item was ready to be shipped. However, it later appeared to be just a shipping label ready for the package, which actually didn't ship for 7 whole days. Very frustrating!
