Customer Service NIGHTMARE, Order Took Nearly a Month to Arrive

First, the positives:

They have a very large selection.


Now, the negatives:

This experience was a complete nightmare, I just moved into my new apartment and was looking for a good place to get some posters/ pictures to liven up the place a bit, I see allposters.com advertised everywhere so I figured I'd check them out. I ended up finding a lot of stuff, so after I was done shopping I placed my order. I wanted it fairly quick so I ordered the 2nd day air shipping. All of the items said they would ship out the same day. So far so good.


After a week without hearing anything about my order, I check the status and one of the items was "on order", the rest of the items were "processing." I sent an e-mail asking what was going on with my order and was told that the item on order would be there in a couple of days and that she would instruct the warehouse to send out all the other items the next day. Alright, I can understand this, they have to get the other item shipped in from an outside source, it's taking a while, but it was nice of her to send out the rest of the order early right? I wish it was that easy.

Another week rolls around without hearing anything, so I send another e-mail to see what's going on, asking why the items didn't ship "in 24 hours" like she said, and reminding them I paid for 2nd day air shipping. I get a response from a different customer service rep that said "We will forward the issue to the warehouse." Now this is getting ridiculous, the next day I get a notification that my order has shipped... HOWEVER, what shipped was the one item that has been on backorder.. the rest of my order which was supposed to have shipped before that? Still "processing." How do I receive an item that was on backorder before I receive the items that were supposedly IN STOCK?!

Now I'm getting really upset. I call them and am told that there was a mix-up and my order was placed on the wrong truck, some ridiculous excuse. They tell me the order will ship the next day. The next day rolls around and I hear nothing, so I call again...again told that the order would ship the next day. I'm very upset at this point... it's been THREE WEEKS since my original order was made... WITH 2ND DAY AIR SHIPPING! Rightfully upset I think. They told me they would refund the 2nd day air shipping which they didn't at the time. I made a final call that stated that I was sick of hearing the same lies from different customer service reps telling me that my order would "ship out tomorrow" and pretty much said that if the order didn't ship the next day that they could just keep everything and give me a refund. After the call I also sent a strongly worded email that said pretty much the same thing.

Well I guess it takes some threatening to get the job done around there because I get a notification that my order has shipped and I was bumped up to next day air for free. They also did eventually refund my 2nd day air shipping, which was the right thing to do. However I will NEVER shop with them again, this whole experience was a complete nightmare in which I would get the runaround from customer service every time I called/ e-mailed. Not to mention the e-mails they sent me were littered with typos and misspellings, that just added to their lack of professionalism. Their customer service just kept lying and lying telling me the order would ship out the next day, which it never did until I threatened with a refund.


I very much do not recommend allposters.com, they have a large selection, but there's other places to shop...the customer service experience was horrible and I went from expecting my order in 2 days to receiving it in a MONTH!

Save yourself the trouble and stress, shop somewhere else.
