This is the worst experience I have ever encountered! I ordered some course material for an engineering class from (
usedbookliquidators.com) through Alibris. The material was on an OUTDATED FLOPPY "A" disc!! the seller
Dotcom Liquidators knew that what they were selling was defunct!! and did not state so in the description of the product. Alibris did not give me any assistance whatsoever. When I asked for a refund, it was declined by the seller. Contacted Alibris and they told me I had to contact the seller. PLEASE ANYONE WHO READS THIS, PLEASE DO NOT SHOP WITH ALIBRIS!!
Here are the actual emails that was sent to me by the seller refusing to give me a refund:"We did not mislead you in anyway as you are making it sound. I will be happy to issue a
partial refund on this as soon as Alibris lets me. I don't think its fair to have to pay your shipping fees when we shipped the book you ordered.
And this is their 2nd response:
You didn’t do the research, you ordered the wrong book, it happens. I don’t know why we’re still arguing about this?? If we were to pay for your original shipping, then where would the shipping charges we paid the post office come from? Seriously, this is not a scam but you need to see it from our side as well. I understand that you were not happy and if Alibris tells me I have to pay it all, fine, but until then, I stand by my position.
I am now in the process of contacting BBB and my credit card company to dispute the charges and report fraudulent activities by this seller and Alibris!!
