The merchant charges sales tax on the product PLUS sales tax on shipping and handling. I was able to buy exact same product without sales tax. Though the price was virtually the same, I'll do my business with merchants that do not charge sales tax on shipping charges.

There was a problem with the charger. We were given two options and decided to use the warranty option through Nikon. Nikon were more difficult to deal with (in contrast to Adorama's service dept) but they did provide the replacement charger in a timely fashion. We are very happy with the product. While refurbished, it looked like new to us.

I always find what I'm looking for quickly and because they have such a large selection, I can get it at a price that is affordable.

Once you do a search for a category that you are looking for, the Adorama web site allows you to further refine your search by category, brand and price range.  This is very helpful in that it lets you quickly get to the product in the price range that you are willing to pay.  Also, their prices seem to always beat their competition.

For example, if you're looking for a lens, you click on their menu item "35mm & Digital SLR Lenses".  Once the lens selection is displayed, you can now refine your search by Manufacturer, Lens style (i.e. wide angle, telephoto...), Camera Mount (i.e. Canon, Nikon...) and Price Range.  This is invaluable in that it allows you select the right lens at the right price for your camera.

Their service is exceptional and if the item is not in stock, which is rare, they will backorder the item and then notify you when it is in stock.

I have yet to encounter a problem where they were not able to help me to my complete satisfaction.

Bought 3 of the above named cameras. 1 out of the 3 was DOA. Called and was given a return # immediately. Then email came with pre-paid UPS shipper. This was excellent as I had to return something recently due to defect to B and H. They had ME pay the return ship to get a credit when it was their defective merchandise. Really pissed me off. So I was out shipping both directions and had no product. That's bad business! I'll avoid them like the plague! I'll stick with Adorama whenever possible.

Personally I think Adorama is a great place to shop because they allow me to pay via Paypal - I live in South Africa. I recently had an experience with one of Adorama's competitors where I could not pay for my order - my credit card did not comply with MSCS and because it was an overseas order, Paypal was not accepted. Why was I shopping at the competition? Only because Adorama did not have stock of a particular lens I was after. Adorama also has a fair pricing model - prices are always lower than the competition. Adorama has a huge range of photographic equipment, and I have always found what I was looking for. I don't have anything bad to say about Adorama so far - I just wish I had more money to spend with them!
