I was a little disappointed with shipping since I opted out of the free shipping and chose to pay for the 3-5 day since I wanted my camera before I left but in the end it didn't come on time and I had to ask a friend to ship it out to me, basically costing me double shipping. I was also concerned that they left out such a valuable item without requiring a signature. Also I was a little worried when they didn't email me to tell me they shipped my package and they didn't email me my tracking number but after logging into the site I found it. Other than that, it was an overall good experience, and I would order again from this site.

I am a Canadian living in Ontario and I could not find, anywhere in Canada, a certain DSLR lens. I happened to notice an ad in a monthy photo magazine for Adorama Online Store, New York, NY. I found the lens I wanted and completed the purchase by 11am on a Wednesday. At 5pm the next day the lens was delivered to me by UPS. This was my first experience purchasing online photo equipment from any vendor. I was so impressed I actually sent a note to Adorama mentioning this outstanding service. As a Canadian and due to the free trade agreement I did not have to pay any import duty, however, a Provincial Tax and Goods and Services Tax (read Federal) was payable, as though the purchase had been made in Canada. Adorama knows this and chose UPS overnight delivery service. In this case, UPS pays the Canadian Customs folks, and collects the amount as a C.O.D., saving me the need to deal with a broker and pay the taxes somewhere else before getting my purchase.

My experience with Adorama has been very satisfactory. Their return policy is excellent and I received full credit for items that I returned. I in turn, purchased other items that suited my needs. They may not be the best price on the web, but it is worth spending a few more dollars for good service and good products

I purchased an item in which the price on the website was AFTER receiving a rebate on the item. However, considering the amount I paid and the amount of the rebate, which will take 6 to 8 weeks, will cost more than the website price... That feels like dishonest advertising. I don't understand why companies don't have instant rebate amounts and the seller collect the rebates amount from the company offering the rebate...
