These folks are quick. Admittedly I'm only one state away, but I ordered a replacement Nikon D60 body for one I broke at 5:10PM on a Wednesday, and had it by 2PM the NEXT DAY. Outstanding performance.
Furthermore their prices are the best or seriously competitive on all items and my experience after talking to customer service when I did have a problem (wrong item shipped one time in a dozen or more orders of multiple items) convinced me these folks are serious about customer service.
The problem that occured wasn't even Adorama's fault: their Amazon.com store front had a fault and when I ordered the Nikon version of an item, it signalled Adorama to ship the Canon version. Amazon refunded my purchase price and I bought the correct item directly from Adorama for the same sale price even though it wasn't on Adorama's site at that price but only on Amazon. I was able to return the item shipped at no cost to myself and though gratification was delayed, I got the right item for the price I wanted and the process with Adorama was very easy.
Generally speaking, their web site is very informative. You always know what things will cost, whether shipping is free, what shipping costs apply, and the technical details of the item. Used items are the exception and it's based on what the person who traded it in supplied I suppose.
You do want to get on their mailing list. Some of the bargains I've gotten are not on the regular site -- you need a link to get them. I've saved 30% off their normal low prices in the past using links from their emails.
Overall, I have to say I'm going to look them up first when I need something especially if it's something critical. Most all of my photographic purchase are through them these days for new items.
