I may be one of the lucky few, since this was my first purchase with Abe's of Maine, but my experience buying from them has been positive. I bought a Tascam DR1 portable digital recorder . Their price was $ 110 dollars less than the online store i usually buy from. I didn't get the follow up " confirmation" call from them because my purchase from them was through the Amazon Market place, of which they are a member.
 The shipping was one day late from the 2nd day air that i paid for, but it seems like that was UPS's fault. The package was well packed and in good condition.
 The product was new and in good condition. It contained all the proper items from the factory ( manual, warranties, carry case , etc).
 Prior to buying from this seller I had no idea who Abe's of Maine was. I just choose them for the low price they had on my item. A day after placing my order, I researched them , just out of curiosity. I then read all these negative reviews and was getting nervous about my purchase. But, now that i have my item and it is fine . I'm thankful that I didn't have to go through the hassels and problems that many had to endure.
