I ordered a Panasonic Plasma TV in early January. The price was great, the shipping estimate was 7-10 business days. I received the TV at the end of January, so actual delivery was more like 15-20 business days. This has been my experience with Abes, hope it helps!
1 -- Making an order online does not complete the order. Your order isn't processed until you confirm it on the phone. I didn't know this until I called, so that set me back a few days. The reason has been pointed out in other reviews; they'd like to sell accessories/upgrades. This is not a negative -- all companies need profit. You can say no to the extras, I know because I did with no problems.
2 -- Their stock of items is extremely fluid, you will only find out if your item is in stock over the phone. Don't rely on the website.
3 -- The shipping is free, even for my 80-pound TV. Good news, right? But hold on; you get what you pay for. Expect delays...The company they use for shipping will contact you to setup an appointment for delivery. They called me on a Thursday and couldn't deliver until the next Tuesday. I live in the DC area, and we had snow forecast for that Tuesday. So they called on Tuesday to reschedule to the next day. The roads were completely clear, so they could have delivered, but that was their choice. The next day they did show up, problem was my driveway had iced up overnight. They had sent one person to deliver my quite heavy TV. So naturally this person asked for help carrying the TV in from the only one home; my wife. Now let's just say the TV weighs 3/4 of what my wife does....she is not "Helga the Viking Woman". So there she goes down an icy driveway to help an adult delivery man to do his job. Not at all professional.
I heavily researched my TV model and am very happy with the product itself. Consider yourself warned on the shipping.
