Good website, good prices, BUT be ready for less than accurate information, and high-pressure add-on sales tactics.

Specific Examples when purchasing Panasonic TH-50PZ800U HDTV:

1) HDMI Cable - Abes claims you need their $65 HDMI cable (reduced from $99) or you won't get 1080p. They claim less expensive cables won't work. They must've asked me to buy this like 5 times.
TRUTH - You can buy a cable for under $30 at Walmart that works fine.
2) Shipping - Abes claims that the FREE shipping included in their advertisement is inferior, and the TV could get damaged. They pushed upgraded shipping for an extra $90 stating this shipper transfers the TV between trucks increasing the liklihood for damage.
TRUTH - I stuck to my guns and insisted on the advertised free shipping. Definately sensing frustration from the sales person now.
3) Warranty - Abes claims that Panasonic warranty is 90 days, carry-in, and parts only.
TRUTH - Panasonic warranty is very good and is called their CONSIERGE WARRANTY that includes in-home service and loaners in some cases.
The sales person kept going in circles - pounding on these extras that I repeatedly declined. At this point the sales person became rude, and put me on hold for at least 5 minutes, came back on, and started again. I concluded the conversation confirming what I DIDN'T want, and the price I was authorizing. I was assured an email confirmation.
The next afternoon, still no email confirmation. When I called back, I had to sit on hold for 20 minutes with this unbearable blairing, distorted hold music that any normal person couldn't stand - I had a speaker phone.
When I finally did get through, I was told that I didn't receive an email because they were keeping my order open so they could follow up to see if I wanted - you guessed it - a cable, warranty, or upgraded shipping. I again frustrated the sales person and repeated the amount I was going to pay, and exactly what I expected to receive for that amount. The frustrated salesperson again put me on hold, eventually came back, gave me the cold shoulder, with a really bad attitude. I fully expected to receive a call a couple days later telling me that the TV was unavailable and my order was to be cancelled, but I did receive the TV in good working order in 9 working days.
This place is not for those who aren't prepared to argue for what they want!. Their tactics are unethical and are worse than many car dealers.
If you are prepared to do battle, you can save a few dollars. If you want a clean, pleasant transaction - pay a couple extra $$ and shop somewhere else.
