Customer Service doesn't work nights or weekends!
Full review
I switched to Cingular about 6 months ago because I wanted better coverage, and almost everyone I knew had Cingular so we could all talk for free. Every other time I download a ringtone off of Cingular's site, I end up being charged for it, and not receiving it. I called customer service, bounced through a couple menus and then I got to a message that said Cingular's Customer service department is open M-Sat 9-6. I cannot believe a company that large doesn't have a 24 hour customer service line! So I tried to send an e-mail, it takes forever to actually get to the part where you send your complaint. Every time I tried to send an email, I got an error message that said "server down, please contact customer service via phone". But you can't call them if it's after 6pm, or on Sunday. I have their most basic plan and I pay at least $60 a month for a single line. I'm stuck with them for another year and a half and then I'm going back to T-mobile. I should have known from the beginning that this was a non-customer service company. When I went to the Cingular store to sign up for a plan, the sales rep. was really rude and snobby toward me. I wish I had told him that he works at Cingular, in the mall, and he should consider going to college and getting a real job.
Go with T-mobile, they have a variety of plans from 19.99 and up, and a very friendly and had always handled my issues quickly when I was a customer.
