STAY AWAY FROM THESE SWINDLERS!! I found a desirable item on Amazon.com and noted the outside vendor of the item was AJ PRINDLE. Rhymes with "swindle." Amazon sent a confirmation e-mail after I ordered stating the price of the item, just under $20, with just under $8 for shipping, and that was the deal I happily agreed to. In fact, I bought TWO. BTW, never had a problem with anything bought through Amazon since 1996 -- no problems with ANY of their affiliates until *this* encounter. In six days, my order arrived with an invoice inside from AJ Prindle stating they had charged me DOUBLE for the items and DOUBLE for the shipping!! What?! I immediately called AJ Prindle's alleged customer service line as printed on that invoice and they said they had a "computer error" that showed the higher price on their "warehouse" computer and that they didn't have access to my credit card to refund my money -- that it was Amazon's problem. Then how did AJ Prindle manage to ship me goods and generate an invoice with *their* name on it for DOUBLE the item price and DOUBLE the shipping fee?? The statement says in B&W they charged me almost 90 bucks for $40 worth of items, so they could not be more dishonest. Then they told me the only way to refund me was NOT through my credit card, which they insisted was didn't have access to, but could only write a check which I'd receive in six weeks. Not acceptable! This was a point and click operation when I ordered -- they found a way to get at my money instantly when they wanted to outright mug me online -- then they say it's someone else's problem to fix?! Amazon's rep was dumbfounded by this story and are investigating this vendor and trying to help me directly while AJ Prindle refused to even connect me by phone with a supervisor! Seriously! If I had only read the warnings from the other people on this website telling their own tale of woe, I would never have dealt with this completely immoral and incompetent pack of criminals. Amazon told me flat out AJ Prindle lied to me. They could not believe their stupidity. Seriously, folks, I cannot more strongly advise you to immediately TURN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION AND RUN FROM AJ PRINDLE!! Wish I could grant them a negative five check-mark rating... grr!!
