Although the web site listed my purchase as "In Stock," my order was not shipped until 2 1/2 weeks after I ordered it. Despite calling five times to customer service to ask when my order was going to ship, I was never able to talk to a live person and my recorded messages were not returned. I received one response to an email saying that my order would ship the following week; it did not. I only got a phone call when I left a message and email stating that I wished to cancel my order. Although the price was great and the product was exactly what I was looking for, it arrived 24 days after I ordered it. I really didn't believe that I would receive this product until it arrived. I had gone as far as order another range from another vendor. I was never provided with a tracking number or a shipping company. It was not the delay that I objected to as much as the lack of information. Since this was gas range that had to be professionally installed in my kitchen, I couldn't schedule the installation until it arrived, thus delaying my use of the range for another 10 days. I placed my order on the 4th of September and didn't have it in use until the 13th of October. This was not a good online buying experience due to lack of customer service.

The experience is the worst it can possibly be. The order was placed and an email was sent to me that the order had been shipped. Of course that meant that it had been billed. Two weeks after receipt of that email, I still have no merchandise. After many many attempts to contact the Customer Service department to at least obtain the shipper and tracking information, I received no reply at all. Eventually I did contact someone about the order. The only thing they could tell me was that they would get the tracking information and email it to me. That never happened. I have been billed, and have no merchandise and no idea as to whether it ever existed. I cannot get a valid response and am considering contacting the authorities about fraudulent practices by AJ Madison. I am absolutely dissatisfied with my experience with AJ Madison and would caution anyone that is considering doing business with them.

Ordered the a/c unit. I was sent tracking info but it never showed shipped. I placed a phone call to customer service and was told they would check into it and reply via email or phone the next day. I received an email a week later saying the product had shipped. Upon installation I found that a tube had broke away from the condenser and had to wait an additional two weeks on parts and service from GE.

I waited for a response to an item that was suppose to be in stock. I never got a shipping date confirmation and after a week time I called the company and they could not explain why I was not contacted and told the item was not in stock and had been discontinued even though it was listed as an in stock item. They refused to make any offer to anything comparable and acted as though they didn't even care if they sold anything to me. This was one of the most unpleasent experiences I have ever had purchasing over the internet. I would not recommend anyone do buisness with this company.

The website was wonderful. Very organized and easy to use. The prices were lower than anyone else we checked. The delivery was prompt and the delivery people were courteous. We liked our range purchase so much that when our microwave broke, AJ Madison was the first and only place we shopped for a new one. Any time we need a new appliance in the future, AJ Madison will be our first choice. Thank you.

Since the purchase weighed over 100 pounds, the shipping was key. The company AJ Madison contracted with did an excellent job. But AJ Madison told me one thing about inspecting the product before signing for delivery, and the shipping company has a contradictory policy. In the end, the product was in good condition, but if it hadn't been, there could have been trouble.

My exprience With AJ madison was a good one.though I do have a problem with the Fedders A/C I received.(it is extremely nosiy) if I had bought from a local merchant,I would have brought it back to the store.I feel I am now stuck with a product that I spent nearly 500.00 for,and that I am not happy with it.

The product showed "in Stock" and in fact it was not...I had to send an e-mail asking about when the product would be delivered and then they sent it out the next day...their e-mail claimed they were waiting on their supply...which to me meant that it was "not" in stock which caused a substantial delay in my receiving the product.

Found Ajmadison thru Google and was blown away by their prices. They beat Lowe's, Home Depot, I am building my own house and was getting a few mini split Air Conditioners. After speaking with one of their salespeople, who was very educated and friendly I received the selection I needed.
Delivery was unbelievable. Within one week we received them. It was delivered by a very experienced trucking company. They placed it in my home, exactly where I needed it. I would recommend them for anyone that wants a pleasant shopping experience |

I bought an Amana Stainless Steel range from AJ. This was the first time I had made a major purchase over the internet and was nervous. The stove arrived quickly and was a great deal! I did a lot of price comparison, and found that AJ Madison has the lowest price. I ordered a air conditioner on a Thursday night and it arrived at my doorstep (San Jose, Ca - mind you) Tuesday morning. It was a great pleasure dealing with them.

Merchandise advertised as being in stock IS NOT AVAILABLE in stock. Was told merchandise shipped when it had not. I ordered the item shown in stock. My order was accepted and a couple of days later cancelled because merchandise had been in back order for a long time- therefore, WAS NOT IN STOCK as advertised.
Couple of weeks later, the vendor changed the ad, lowered the price, and again showed the item in stock. I re-ordered. Received an email saying the item shipped via FEDEX. When I inquired about delivery details, the vendor replied cancelling the order because the item was in back-ordered for a long time. AGAIN- not in stock, told it shipped when it had not, order cancelled automatically without first consulting the customer. Yet, the vendor keeps enticing customers to order.
This is good material for a State Attorney General investigation exemplifying unacceptable businee practices.

Found exactly the product we needed, located it on the website quickly, was pleased with the superior description of the product and the wide inventory on the site that I could compare my selection to, used the shopping cart with no problems and no repetitive questions that take up time, placed the order easily and waited for it to arrive. Very dissatisfied with AJ Madison. The initial order was placed by fax and we did not receive any kind of confirmation. After 6 or more attempts to contact the company and receive order status we received a curt email two weeks later saying that the company does not deliver to our specific Canadian province (BC). Their FAQ says they deliver to Canada. This makes no sense. AJ Madison is _not_ a retailer I would recommend to anyone.

Placed order for microwave oven on 8/2 and received confirmation. Tracking showed "Pending" for over a week. Finally called AJ Madison and could not get a reason why it had not been shipped. On 8/12 received email:
"Amana has back-ordered this item for months, we therefore, canceled the item, so you should not have to wait. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Your card has not been charged. Thanks. Irving" I'm now looking for another vendor and microwave--Amana no longer lists the advertised model AJ Madison is selling. |

After reviewing many sites looking for an Energy Efficient Refrigerator, AJ Madison seemed to be the best offering. Their location was a state tax benefit as well.
The order was processed immediately, shipping took about the normal time. I had one problem, the Trucker refused to bring the unit into the house. I am on the West Coast and was unable to contact AJ Madison that evening. I sent an email and explained the situation. Instead of no response, I received a phone call. The gentleman was very apologetic and offered to pay the expense of calling someone of my choosing locally, and that AJ Madison would pay for the service. I explained that I had managed to borrow a dolly and that the Fridge was installed and working beautifully. I will probably use AJ Madison in the future, and will recommend them to my friends. |
