Merchandise was in stock as stated on web site. Packaging could have been a little better, but nonetheless acceptable. Tracking of order through a third party company was horrendous. Most importantly, A Matter of Fax delivered the shredder I wanted in a timely fashion and at a very good price. I would do business with this company again.

my order with a matter of fax was held for an unknown reason and without notification. i had to contact customer support via email (because nobody answered the phone) to get an explanation. unfortunately, the customer support rep, eli, was apparently not actually *reading* my email, but simply sending canned responses that were completely unhelpful. i had to cancel the order after 4+ weeks because it was obvious that my order was never going to be fulfilled and help was not likely. these folks do not know their stuff -- never again will i order from them!

Did not honored the price advertised for a new printer claiming it was for a refurbished one. Nowhere in the description of the item appears the word "refurbished", and I still hold the printed information. I might pursue further actions.

The "real time" inventory system showed 10 items in warehouse 13. Customer Service told me that if the product was not available, it would show when I placed the order. My credit card was charged, but the product was not shipped. Customer Service said it was oversold. When I placed the order, Customer Service sent me an email asking me to call. They had one question - was the shipment to a loading dock. I said no. A week after I placed the order, they again sent an email requesting me to call and asked the same question, when I said no, they requested an additional $90.00, but gave me the option to cancel the order, which I did. They did not have any inventory at that time anyway. They sent me an email stating the order had been cancelled for technical reasons and I could reorder. The price went up $250.00 the day after my original order, but now included shipping. There was no order tracking info available while my order was sitting in the warehouse waiting to be filled. So my credit card had been charged but I had no idea when they might be able to ship. The credit card refund was timely after I cancelled the order.

It took way too long to receive this item for something that was supposed to be "in stock". I received the wrong switch box with 25-pin connectors instead of the 9-pin serial port connectors that I specified in my order. The person that I talked to on the phone to return the switch box seemed unaware that there is a difference in 9-pin and 25-pin. I have no idea when, or if I will ever receive the correct switch box.

I ordered two items which were supposed to be in stock. I had to try their system four times with phone calls and emials before they could verify my American Express card for the purpose. I have never in dozens of internet uses had a problem. They charged my card and shipped the SD card. that was about August 20th. I still have not received the card reader even though it was charged to my card! I cannot get them to answer email about when I will get it. Waiting a month for something that is supposed to be in stock is ridiculous.

1st time anyone has sold me something that was out of stock and discontinued from the maker. 1st time anyone has charged my credit card for something that they had not shipped yet. They have no customer service, never apologize, make lots of excuses, and are pushy. I have never been so mad at a vendor!
