I am usually happy with Amazon....but this time, not so much.  Purchased Turbotax download (big mistake, always always always get the hard copy CD/dvd).  Download was defective. I couldn't get it to access the update server so several forms were missing. Tried to do it manually and still had  little success.  Also found out that the state return was not included.  And come to find out NO REFUNDS because it's a download.  So the upshot is I am just out my original purchase and must go to Costco and get the real deal.  What a rip! NEVER AGAIN!

Amazon is Great for Toys, but Buyers must be Careful

I buy a lot of toys for various groups. Amazon is the greatest places to buy toys on the Internet... but the buyer has to be careful with their purchases. Before I buy anything on Amazon I make sure I know the true retail price (not the one listed on Amazon). They allow third party sellers who can inflate the retail price to make their high price seem like a good deal. If the price is above the retail price, then I would not pacify any seller who is selling at what I believe is an unreasonable price. If an item is sold and shipped by Amazon, then the price is usually pretty good. If it is sold by a third party merchant, then do your homework!

Refusal to help

I ordered a book from Amazon for a class and received the wrong one. I had paid for expedited shipping and needed the book as soon as possible.  Upon receiving the wrong order I contacted the seller and Amazon's customer service. Customer Service refused to do anything because it was a third party seller. They told me to give the seller 3 dyas to respond.  This was beyond the window of "expedited" and no one cared to do anything about it. They told me to wait and file a claim. If I had time to wait I wouldn't have paid for expedited shipping.

I used to love Amazon until they started running promos. They offered a 4-for-3 promo but only about half the products listed for the promo are valid. Complete scam. I used to spend $1000s a year at Amazon but I will never spend 1 cent there again.

Really bad

Really bad experience ordering a 55" TV.  Delivery date and time set, never showed up.  Spent all day waiting Amazon and I spent 3 hours tracking it down, only to be told it would be delivered in 3 days. Cancelled order and was told money would be refunded when Amazon received returned tv (we never got - it was 200 miles away) and if we hadn't received our money by Feb. 10 to contact them.  Total disrespect for my time and money.  Posted the situation on their Facebook page and they took it down.  Amazon seems fine for small things, but I will never buy anything big there again.

I placed an order with amazon only to have it damaged in shipping. UPS sent it back to amazon. They never contacted me relating to the order at all. There was a Xmas present in the order and it was due prior to Xmas. When I finally was able to get a hold of Customer service they told me that I had to re-do the entire order and I would be refunded for the first order within 4 weeks or I could just get a refund for the entire order in 4 weeks... They would not just replace the order and send me replacements.. Poor policies. Non communication of lost shipments and they like to hang onto your money for a long time. Very bad customer service. This was my first time ever buying from them and it is now my last. I will also be telling my friends about the poor service and making sure that I have them make their purchases elsewhere online.

Amazon ruins Christmas Surprises....AGAIN! Stay away from Amazon!

Seriously AMAZON, DO NOT advertise that wonderful 2 day shipping if you cannot deliver. DO NOT believe them when they say 2 day shipping!! Yes, I am guilty of being a last minute Christmas shopper but I did choose your 2 day delivery (which is NOT cheap) and now all I get is some apologetic email that I will not get my Yankee chair in time for Christmas!! 
Oh, and one the lovely suggestions of similar items to replace my Yankee chair was a Boston Red Sox chair. Um, really? That is the total opposite of what I ordered. I am completely disappointed in Amazon (this is the 2nd time they did this to me) and I seriously doubt I will use this website again. Way to ruin a Christmas surprise. I have to wrap a picture of this chair so that I have something to give on Christmas. Boo Amazon!

I purchased for Amazon.co.uk a pair of sheets for our Graco Travel cot they was the wrong size and Amazon webpage was very unclear, I spoke to several of their "Customer Service" advisers who the majority did not have a clue and was trying to fob me off, they did not speak clear English and did not seem to have knowledge of the issue I had, after painfully trying to explain to several of them they still have not sorted out our problem, very poor service how they get rating from other members I'm not sure but definitely my experience was very bad and will not never shop at Amazon.co.uk ever again.
I sincerely hope that my review is read by other online buyers and take notice.

Frustrating, diasppointing, final.

Delivery speed, accuracy and customer service are all ok.  The item I ordered is not.  It's an artificial Christmas tree and the branches do not lock into place, they swing from left to right making decorating impossible and they pinch your fingers in the process.  The supplier wants to send a replacement which will be no different than the original. I want a credit to my credit card and a UPS pick up authorization which they will not give me.  They will only supply a return auth but they want me to take it to UPS.  This is a large expensive item.  
If this issue is not resolved to my satisfaction with 10 days, I'll be sure to make my discontent known.  You cannot sell and ship junk to the public without repercussions.  The customer is always right especially if they want my business in the future.

I have ordered several things off the Amazon site, and been happy with them all...as I have been able to find answers to my questions either on the site itself or independantly.  Imagine, then, my surprise to find that actually getting any help, either via email or on the phone would be such a problem!  The phone assistance is a joke....three times I called, trying to get a person who could speak enough English to understand what I was asking for...I never did succeed.  the last girl very politely told me the website did not have the information I needed....which of course I already knew.  And to email you have to have an order number, which of course I don't have since I hadn't placed an order yet!  I will definitely think twice about ordering again; I can't imagine trying to solve an actual problem with this kind of service.

FALSE SAVINGS

I have been a loyal Amazon Prime member for several years, I pay 79.00 a year and i get free 2-day shipping on my orders, it was great! BUT NOW.....I am starting to notice that i am being charged more when i order "prime eligable" products than when i order their non- prime eligable equivelents, for exmple:I ordered a prime eligable product  priced at 34.99 per case, BUT i just placed a second order(non prime) from Petco thru Amazon for the same product and i am paying 20.99 per case plus 5.99 shipping
WHERE IS THE BENEFIT OF PRIME MEMBERSHIP IF I AM JUST GOING TO BE PAYING MORE FOT THE PRIME ELIGABLE PRODUCTS ANYWAY?

I am an Amazon customer for over 10 years and was pretty much happy with them in the past. I can't say that lately though. I ordered a free shipping item with many reviews from their Amazon store, no third party. They canceled my order after whooping 4 days and totally removed the order from the options, so I could not review their services. This is unacceptable. The customers have a right to know what Amazon does.

I checked the item the day of cancelation and guess what? It is still available! This means another people will be waiting for the item and will get a cancelation. This is very disappointing and upsetting.

This is also not the first time my option of reviewing Amazon was removed. If I post a review and describe negatively anything about Amazon, they will not post the review. It happened on two occasions and what Amazon does is called cheating.

Therefore I chose to review them here and on another websites, so customers know about their practices. They have a right to know what company they deal with.

The customer service is automated bots who doesn't know anything about anything.The whole process is inconvinence and i have no idea how they made it this big while they are not doing it right.They have put my orders on hold to verify my credit card, which took 4 days to complete. and then the order was processed, on the second order the same thing happened, and they asked me to verify my account twice in less than 10 days, even though I haven't change a thing on my account, it make sense if i used a different credit card than what I verified, but even the shipping address is the same. so why is this? I sent them an email to ask about this, and again, I got an automated message to verify my account.no answers, just automated responses.Chat is useless too, same as email, like they are programmed from the factory.

I have always had good experiences with Amazon, but this latest one takes the top award.  My son dropped and broke one of our Kindle e-readers.  I called Amazon to ask about repairing it, and they offered to replace it at no charge!  I made sure they knew that he dropped it, it didn't just stop working on it's own, and they still offered to send us a replacement.  How great is that?!?  Way to go Amazon customer service :-)

I placed an order for the HP Touchpad this weekend. I later learned that my local Best Buy and Barns and Noble was going to offer these instore on Monday. I went back to Amazon to cancel my order but was to I couldn't because my order was in shipping status. Thinking I would only have to wait till the 25th to receive my order as that was what the estimate shipping date was, I passed going to Best Buy and Barns and Noble. The only thing I received on the 25th was an order cancellation notice and a 7-20 days hold on my funds. Thanks to Amazon I missed out on a great limited time offer and they are still holding on to my money for the next 7-20 days. Why must I wait 7-20 days for a refund on something they don't have in stock? It clearly states on their site that they must promptly refund charges on out of stock items so buyer could place order elsewhere.

amazon usually has whatever i'm looking for at a price lower than their competitors. their selection is great for the majority of products, but their clothing leaves a lot to be desired. the biggest selling factor for me has to be the shipping. they deliver on time, if not earlier!

Slow, slow shipping from Amazon

Again Amazon is delaying processing on another order from me and apparently many others also. Amazon just sits on a order for a few days before they begin to process orders. If they don't want their customers to use the free shipping option then don't offer it. I think they're just trying to push people into paying for the standard shipping. Probably a cash cow for them. The people who run Amazon probably don't know or have forgotten their company mission statement.
