Experienced a problem with my order. Ontrac is carrier and says they made delivery attempt but did not (I was sitting here waiting all day). Amazon "can't get ahold of anyone there". I spent an hour on the phone with Amazon with NO help at all. Then finally called ontrac and they answered first ring ... however, they were unable to explain what happened. My main problem with Amazon is that you cannot talk to anyone in the United States. I literally spent 30 minutes on the phone with a manager who was unable to give me ANY WAY to talk to someone in the United States. I literally hate amazon now. I refuse to give any more of my money to a company where I can't even talk to someone via phone, email, or any other method that is in the United States. I'm shopping local from now on.

i love this place! i have bought so many things from Amazon.com, very safe and especially convenient for me...i do not like shopping ! here is excellent, save time and can make price comparision easily! i like my books and shoes from amazon, delivery very fast! the books is only half price of what the storefront ask for, and just offer the same quality!

I've purchased a lot online and honestly the easiest RMA (returns) online and the cheapest have come from Amazon - great if you buying expensive computer equipment - most places restocling fee is 15% plus loss of shipping on both sides - I rarely lose more than 15 dollars on even large purchases with Amazon - may cost a little more but worth the assurance that you aren't boing to lose a 1/3 of what you paid for it if you have to send it back.

I am not a big online fan...always want to go to the store and see what I purchase. But recently, I have come to enjoy Amazon. Not only is the delivery quick and in many cases FREE, but the prices are many times lower. I would frequent the health stores to purchase my vitamins and protein supplies. It would be very inconvenience at times to drive to the store. When I add up time and expense for me to go to the store and buy regular items like nutritional supplements, it is much easier to order from Amazon. As my kids would say, nice to see you moving into the new century dad!

I decided on the Toshiba 32HL67U TV and got it from Amazon.com. I read a meaningful review about the benefits of buying a TV from Amazon and my own past experience with them was super so I did and what an excellent experience/deal. It was on sale w/Free shipping, my TV was freighted to a local delivery service and then a guy personally phoned and drove to my house for delivery. All this took 5-days. "This is the way the mail-order process should be!" Amazon is stellar.
Update: TV got two black pixels after a week, called Amazon, they sent another TV the same way (arrived in 3-days) and pickedup the bad TV in the same trip. This TV has been perfect now for 2+ years. BUYER BEWARE!!! My husband and I recently purchased a PS3 on Black Friday where they offered the PS3 with 2 free games and a $10 credit to Amazon. When we received the package, the games and credit were not included. When we called customer service several times, they said they could only go by what was on the invoice and could not help us. We could have bought a PS3 deal anywhere that day! When we asked them to give us proof of what we ordered in the ad, they couldn't. When we asked to speak with a supervisor we were disconnected - not once, but twice! (yes we were nice) If they don't want to deal with you they just hang up on you!!! They totally dismissed us as customers and they don't care! Save yourself the agony and buy elsewhere!!!!

I paid for 3-5 day shipping arrived on the 7th day. No customer phone number to contact must do an internet search to find someone else posted their contact number.
Amazon has become a complete dog and pony show, nobody will take responsible, I was told to contact retailer, then shipper, then carrier. Then told shipping means it will ship within 3 to 5 days not arrive and I get pay extra. Amazon is nothing more then advertiser and middle man. My bad never again |

Generally, I have had good experiences. The only very negative one I had was when one of their associate sellers did not like my review and comments about the shipping costs and started to harass me with emails.
The other irritating thing that occurred recently (on the Monday after Black Friday) was when I put an iTouch in my cart without closing the order. When I went back to complete the order two days later the price of the item had risen by $5. It was their right to do so but what ticked me off is that two weeks later the price was back to the amount when I first had placed it in my cart. Seems quite manipulative but $5 here and $5 there...soon you're talking real money for the seller. No sense rewarding that behavior so I was glad I had cancelled the original order and went elsewhere. |

I used to be a fan of Amazon because it was an easy way to shop and find exactly what you wanted. But - I have changed my mind completely! Amazon does not stand behind the products it sells. Amazon says "Returns are Easy!" That couldn't be farther from the truth. If you buy something that is poor quality or damaged, you may not discover this fact until you open the product and try to use it. Once opened, though, Amazon will not accept the return. Ridiculous! Thank goodness for stores like Costco that actually stand behind their products.

This company Amazon.com has no customer service department. Amazons customer are the companies that pay them to advertise there products. These are concerdered selling-agents. They are who you buy from not Amazon.com. All Amazon does is pretend that they have customer support if you can find them and they do not support there seller-agents. This means as a buyer you are stuck. If Amazon would help,work, and provide there seller-agents with contact information about there company then the site might be trustworthy. Each seller has there own web site but Amazon creates traffic for them so they post there products for more money then you could buy directly and there is no direct contact with Amazon.com. They have no managment, support, customer concern, etc. Only a large marketing budget. I would demand contact information from any company prior to giving them a dime.

I canceled an order from Amazon, recieved the cancelation e-mail and thought all was fine. I charged items on my Visa debit card thinking the money was in my account. Amazon shipped the item anyway and as a result I was overdrawn on my account and incurred fees. Amazon refused to accept any resposiblity in causing my late fees. I canceled my Amazon account and now use Deep Discount DVD for my media purchases.

Yesterday when I placed my order, both books qualified for free shipping. In fact, I only ordered the second book in order to get free shipping. However, when I got the order confirmation I realized that I was charged for shipping. I called Customer Service and was first told to cancel and re-order to correct the problem. I refused to spend my time correcting their mistake. Then the agent offered to give me a credit on a future order. Again, I refused as I wanted the order corrected and the shipping amount refunded. After several minutes negotiating and being put on hold, he said a credit would be issued altho' he could not send me a corrected email with that info. I would have to wait several days and check my credit card. I consider this very poor service. Amazon should be capable of much better.

Had I known that they were so hard to contact for any problem or had I known how long it would take to recieve an item that I bought I would have gone to BestBuy. They STILL don't know where my order is and they havn't replied to my email (the ONLY way to contact them)
