I purchased a V Tech phone system from 101phones for $149.99. I found the exact same item at Overstock.com for $81.00 plus $1.00 shipping. I contacted 101phones to see if they would reduce their price, my answer was NO. I sent the unit back to them within days after receiving same. They deducted $15.50 from my credit! This is clearly a 10% restocking charge! I wrote to the president of the company, Robert Cohen, he didn't respond, WHAT A SHOCK!
These people should be banned from the internet with their greedy and deceptive business practices. I see that other innocent folks have been ripped off the same way.
Read their return policy, it states that there will be no restocking charge if item is returned within 30 days of purchase and in original carton. I complied with all the requirements, they still ripped me off. They give an email address to write your complaints, which I did, and they never responded, again, WHAT A SHOCK! The president is not any better with responses, he totally ignored my letter, not even an acknowledgement!
I would not recommend this retailer to anyone, their prices are inflated, they lead you to believe they are paying for shipping and handling, but it is built into the price of the item you purchase. I only paid $6.30 to return this item to them, I shipped USPS. You don't have to be a mathematical genius to figure out what they charged you, clearly it is a restocking charge.
Stay away from this retailer and shop somewhere else!
