I would not recommend that anyone ever order from 1-800-Flowers, as I had a very poor customer service experience with this company.
I placed an order for flowers to be delivered. Unfortunately, I had to suddenly call and cancel the order. The cancellation call was placed one-half hour after the original order, due to a sudden change in circumstances. Later that day, I received an e-mail confirmation notice confirming the order cancellation.
Despite the cancellation, I received a tracking notification e-mail. I reviewed the order on the web site. The steps in the order showed "order placement", followed by "order cancellation", followed by "out for UPS delivery". I was shocked, to say the least.
I called 1-800 Flowers immediately - the customer service representative put me on hold while she called UPS. She then assured me that she had reached UPS and delivery of the flowers was stopped.
I later received another e-mail notice that the flowers had been delivered, and thanking me for my business (this e-mail came from the Director of customer service, which was just unbelievable)
This was an extremely embarrassing and horrible situation for me, to say the least, as well as extremely time-consuming. These people at 1-800-Flowers pretend to give service. However, they could not provide service at all.
I would not recommend 1-800-Flowers to anyone. It is a shame that they give discounts through AAA and other services, bringing customers to them.
This was a very bad experience for all involved. I will never do business with them again, and do not recommend that anyone else do so.
I have sent more e-mails to them, and have never heard back one word of apology, explanation, or any offer to me to make up for this horrible mistake.
