DO NOT ORDER FROM 1-800 FLOWERS.com.
My uncle died last Wednesday. I ordered sympathy flowers via 1-800-Flowers.com for the funeral service that weekend, to be delivered on 11/23/07. The day of 11/23/07, I wanted to make sure that the flowers were delivered to my Aunt so I called around 5pm (after my cousin said she hadn't received the order). Customer service rep #1 didn't even say hello after I went through their horrible digital voice recognition process and hung up. I called again and received a customer service rep who said everything looked fine on his end and it should be there by 7pm. I thought fair enough and just waited.
Around 9pm, I spoke with my cousin who said the flowers were still not there. I should have used ProFlowers.com or something...this actually happened before. They missed the day of scheduled delivery. On 11/24/07, the morning of the funeral service (which I couldn't attend since I was out of town), I called 1-800 Flowers.com again. CSR rep #3 said she apologized for their lack of professionalism and for the delay, and offered me 20% off. I said no thanks...I just want the flowers there before 8am, one hour before the funeral services start. She said she would look into this and call me back before 8am to let me know....guess what? She didn't call back...
I called again around 4pm to see what was going on. CSP Rep #4 was very nice, although she couldnt do anything but grant me a refund. At this point in time, I am very disappointed that a publicly traded company could offer such $hitty service. I highly do NOT recommend 1-800-Flowers. They are incompetent and deserve negative stars.
