CMC Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB Competizione 1:18 Scale This race car miniature is comparable to its highly popular precursor in terms of quality and authenticity. The Ferrari 250 GT/SWB, itemized as M-046, is its standard street version. In 2008, a Ferrari 250 GT landed one of the highest bids that had every been made in an automobile auction. Including all charges and surcharges, the bidder was willing to pay 7.04 Million Euros (approx. 10 Million US Dollars) for the vehicle. Why? Just two words, which happened to be the title of the auction: Leggenda e passione or legend and passion. By the end of the 1950's, the 250 GT was already a much demanded car. Aristocrats or Hollywood stars -- the ones who could afford it -- tried to lay their hands on a street version. Famous race drivers, such as Stirling Moss, Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips, John Surtees and Maurice Trintignant, virtually felt obliged to drive a racing version of the 250 GT called Competizione. Perhaps no other car has had such an impact on the history of the Scuderia Ferrari. After having introduced the street version of the 250 GT SWB, we are now delighted to offer you a CMC high-end precision model of the racing version, which is composed of more than 1,100 single parts. The Competizione comes with many distinctive features in comparison to the street version produced by CMC years ago: The bumpers are removed, additional front air inlets for cooling the disk brakes, big 16 inch wheels 6.00 x 16 (front) and 6.50 x 16 (rear), different exhaust pipes with chromed extractors, undercarriage including cover plate, quick lifting jacking points in the front, movable racing tank quick opening / closing device (without fuel tank cap), rearranged trunk with a larger tank (130 liters) and removable spare wheel, door side trim panel is uncovered (without window crank mechanism), carburetor system with open induction intakes and air box. CMC Porsche 901 coup, 1964 Irish green Limited Edition 1:18th Scale On the 12th of September in 1963, Porsche introduced the Type 901 as the successor of the Porsche 356 at the IAA in Frankfurt. Just one year later, with the 901 poised to go into series production, it was presented to the public eye again at the Parisian Autosalon. Peugeot intervened, because they owned the copyright for all three digit model designations with a 0 in the middle. But before Porsche was able to make the amends, production of the Type 901 had already got off the ground on September 14, 1964, and a total of 82 units were delivered by the factory. All of them carried the type designation 901. Subsequently, the 901 became the 911, a legendary 3-digit designation that still raises the heartbeat of every sports car enthusiast. Back in the 1950's, Porsche was rethinking the configuration of car bodies. A final design was developed by his son Ferdinand Alexander. Based on an aesthetics that emphasized clear and simple beauty, he worked out a line management that was fully in tune with the spirit of the 60s. Ferry Porsche was succinct, when he said later: This type shaped the unique character of all Porsche sports cars. Even little boys started to dream of owning a 911 in the future. Those who were unable to afford one eventually, had received at least a miniature as a birthday present, and the treasured gift tended to be assigned a place of honor on their rack. By now the 901, or the subsequent 911, has won an established spot in the sports car Olympus. To those that are still dreaming, and essentially to all model fans, CMC now offers the 901 in a most faithful and gorgeously- crafted replication. It is composed of 971 single parts. Finally the Porsche 901 has a miniature that does justice to its original and unparalleled beauty. Less

CMC Audi 225 Front Roadster (Red/White) Limited Edition 1:18 Scale The rise of the company Audi is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating stories in the 100-odd years of automobile history. It began with one special name: August Horch. In June 1909, the top management of Horch decided that its founder August Horch had to leave the company. Undaunted by this twist of fate, August sought to launch a new automobile plant on his own. Only four weeks later, his dream virtually came true: The August Horch Automobilwerke GmbH was officially registered in Zwickau, Saxony on July 16, 1909. But the Horch plants took August to court, claiming exclusive use rights of the name Horch for themselves. August Horch lost the trial and had to find a new name. He wound up renaming his new plant Audi, the imperative case of the Latin verb audire meaning Horch. in German. 2009 marks the 100th anniversary of Audi. This is reason enough for CMC to introduce a real classic miniature: the Audi Front 225 Roadster. First presented to the public in 1935, the car proved to be a real sensation for its time. Sporty and graceful, its body was a feast for the eyes. The aerodynamic line management enhanced the charming sporty look of its overall configuration in particular. CMC offers this ravishingly beautiful hand-assembled miniature of more than 1,600 single parts in three different two-tone color versions. M-075A is finished in black and yellow (black interior), M-075B, in blue and silver (red interior), and M-075C, in red and white (black interior). Each color combination brings out the glamour of this extraordinary model in a special way. The highly-detailed interior features a fully- instrumented dashboard and leather- upholstered seats, among others. The detail-exact undercarriage includes metal leaf springs, bonded brake cables, and a simulated wood frame. Mounted on the rear of the car is the removable spare wheel. Celebrate with us 100 years of Audi. Less

CMC Mercedes Targa Florio, 1924 1:18 Scale A 1:18 precision scale model of the Mercedes Targa Florio. Winner of the 1924 Targa Florio, the Race of 7,000 Curves. Christian Werner and Karl Sailer won in a convincing fashion, with a new lap record of 1hour, 35 minutes. Instead of the traditional white color used on German race cars of the time, this Mercedes was painted in Italian red. Rumors have it that Mercedes did this to prevent the Italian fans from hurling rocks at the German machine. The underbody of this model is made of copper. The front and rear metal springs are fully functional. Levers for the ignition and the hand brake are moveable as are the spark plug sockets. The traffic route of the Targa and Coppa Florio, the race of 7,000 curves, led through tight mountain roads right through the mountain villages of Sicily. The Targa Florio included four rounds, the Coppa one more. Each round had a length of 108 km. To win the Targa doesn`t mean to win the Coppa also because to stay one more round in this hard street race was no walk in the park. Christian Werner made it to support his co-pilot Karl Sailer. The major job of Sailer was to keep the gas tank per manual pump under pressure and take care about the grease lubrication. On the 27th of April in 1924 the team wins with the compressor Mercedes both titles. Also they were able to establish a new track record with 1 hour and 35 minutes for one round. His team mates Christian Lautenschlager and Alfred Neubauer placed 10th and 15th. In the team competition Mercedes placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Less

CMC Mercedes-Benz W25, 1934 1:18 Scale 2nd of June 1934: On the evening before the Eifel Race at the Nrburgring the acceptance examination takes place for the cars attempting to enter in the new 750 kg racing formula. The weighing of the shining white Monopostos shows a weight of 751 kgs. A catastrophe, it means a prohibition for the start. But the Mercedes crew doesn't give up. That one kilogram has to be reduced somehow. Finally an ingenious solution: All they had to do is to remove the paintwork. So all night long in sweat-pouring work the paint is sanded off completely. In the morning a shooting star in its shining silver aluminum body is at the start, weighing exactly 750 kgs - and it wins. A rousing victory for Mercedes-Benz and the driver Manfred von Brauchitsch. The enthusiastic press named the racing car Silver Arrow. Rightly so, of the eight Grand Prix races in the first season the silver shots win four first and three second places.A myth is born, which has lost none of its magic to the present day. The Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow W 25 is a veritable collectors piece for all Silver Arrow- and model fans and should not be missing from any collection. This 1/18 scale precision model of the Mercedes-Benz W 25 is hand-assembled from more than 610 parts. This model has earned the 2003 Zonee Award and the 2003 Super-Model of the Year Award. 75 individual parts are used to create each wheel. Less

CMC Ferrari Dino 156 F1, Sharknose 1:18 Scale The 1961 Formula 1 season came up with a completely new rule type. The racing teams had to switch their engines from 2.5 to 1.5 liters. Ferrari found itself in a very good position. They had developed a V6 mid-mounted engine with a 120 degrees cylinder angle and a maximum output of 190 hp. The new 156 F1 had a very unusual front design. So pretty soon, many people gave it the nickname Sharknose. Technically and ostensibly, the 156F1 was the most successful development in 1961. The season ended for the Scuderia with a large success but also with a disastrous tragedy. Phil Hill became the first American Formula 1 World Champion. The German Ferrari star Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips, that led the ranking for most of the season, became involved in a deadly accident in Monza. Never before joy and teariness was that close on just one day. Our three different models represent all different successful GP appearances of the 156 F1 during the 1961 season. As a matter of course, all three models will reflect the special features of the respective race. Annotation: It is factual that no original Ferrari 156 F1 exists in the whole world. But after months of meticulous research and contacting countless Ferrari experts, CMC was able to get all necessary data for a harmonious model development. Thanks to that kind of knowledge about the car and its famous drivers, we are in a position to accomplish this mission impossible with true-to-the-origin al details and the well known CMC craftsmanship and quality. CMC Auto Union Type C, 1936 1:18 Scale A 1:18 scale precision model of the revolutionary Auto Union Type C, driven by Bernd Rosemeyer. The Type C used a new innovative design. The 520 hp V-16 engine was mounted behind the driver and ahead of the rear axle. Although this is a normal race car practice today, it was ground-breaking in 1936. Top speed: 340 km/h (211 mph). The Auto Union Type C is hand-assembled from 1026 parts into an extraordinary detail-exact model. The single parts are of high-quality materials: 23 parts of zinc alloy, 754 of metal or copper, and 153 of plastic. The remaining 96 parts are screws, rivets or simulated heads. This award-winning model (Model Fan Model of the Year 2003, 2004 Super-Model of the Year) is the exact replica that was developed by Ferdinand Porsche who wrote racing history like no other racing car had done before: In 1936 Auto Union presented with the Type C a monoposto which was almost totally different from all the other racing cars known so far. What stood out especially was the unconventional design of the sensational 16-cylinder. V-engine installed behind the driver and in front of the rear axle, an innovation which soon became the accepted thing. This high-performance racing car was above all so successful because the bullet with 520 hp was driven by a highly talented racing driver: Bernd Rosemeyer. 1936 was his most successful year when he became European Champion and won numerous Grand Prix. In 1937 the new ace of the Auto Union could keep his main competitor, Mercedes-Benz, in check as well and was able to continue his successful career with five further wins. At the beginning of 1938, however, his career came to an abrupt and tragically ended by a fatal accident which occurred while trying to break the world speed record. After the end of the Second World War, the remaining racing cars in Zwickau had to be handed over as reparation payment to the Soviet Union. Till now it`s not comprehensibl Less

CMC Ferrari 250 GT SWB Competizione #14 Le Mans Limited Edition 1:18 Scale A 1/18 precision model of the Competizione version of the Ferrari 250 GT SWB. From the mid-1950's through the beginning of the 1960's, the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinettas dominated the GT-class races around the world. The production of Berlinettas started with a long wheel base version, followed by a short wheel base version, which was introduced in 1959 and became a fixture until the 250 Series was eventually phased out of production. One of the most famous examples of the racing version Competizione is Chassis 2689, the silver Berlinetta with its prominent blue Gordini French racing stripe. 2689 finished 3rd overall at Le Mans in 1961, and won the GT class. CMC offers you this legendary racing GT in the form of a precision model with the highest possible level of details and authenticity. This is a limited-edition of 7000 pieces. The Competizione Le Mans comes with many distinctive features compared to the street version: Devoid of the front and rear bumpers, additional front air inlets for cooling the disk brakes, big 16-inch wheels that measure 6.0 x 16 (front) and 6.5 x 16 (rear), wind deflector on the bonnet, rear splash guards, exhaust pipes with chromed SNAP extractors, protection plate for the left double exhaust pipe, adjustable illumination for the starting number on the trunk, red pit-stop light on the right rear fender, undercarriage with cover plates, jack slots in the front for quick lifting, functional quick opening/closing cover for the fuel tank (with no tank cap per se), spacious trunk with a larger tank (approx. 130 liters) and a removable spare wheel, door side trim panel is uncovered (without window crank mechanism), carburetor system with open induction intakes and air box, silver body paintwork with a blue racing stripe, starting numbers generated by the tampon printing method. CMC Porsche 901 coup, 1964 Sky Blue Limited Edition 1:18 Scale On the 12th of September in 1963, Porsche introduced the Type 901 as the successor of the Porsche 356 at the IAA in Frankfurt. To those that are still dreaming, and essentially to all model fans, CMC now offers the 901 in a most faithful and gorgeously- crafted replication. It is composed of 971 single parts. Finally the Porsche 901 has a miniature that does justice to its original and unparalleled beauty. Less

CMC Audi 225 Front Roadster (Black/Yellow) Limited Edition 1:18 Scale The rise of the company Audi is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating stories in the 100-odd years of automobile history. Celebrate with us 100 years of Aud Less

CMC Auto Union Type C, 1936 #4 Limited Edition 1:18 Scale This racing car developed by Ferdinand Porsche wrote racing history right away like almost no other racing car had done before: In 1936 Auto Union presented with the Type C a monoposto which was almost totally different from all the other racing cars known so far. What stood out especially was the unconventional design of the sensational 16 cylinder V engine installed behind the driver and in front of the rear axle, an innovation which soon became the accepted thing. This high performance racing car was above all so successful because the bullet with 520 hp was driven by a highly talented racing driver: Bernd Rosemeyer. 1936 was his most successful year when he became European Champion and won numerous Grand Prix. In 1937 the new ace of the Auto Union could keep his main competitor, Mercedes-Benz, in check as well and was able to continue his successful career with five further wins. At the beginning of 1938, however, his career came to an abrupt and tragical end by a fatal accident which occurred during the attempt of breaking the speed world record. After the end of the Second World War, the remaining racing cars in Zwickau had to be handed over as reparation payment to the Soviet-Union. It is still unknown to what exactly happened to the racing cars after that day. The Auto Union Type C is hand assembled from 1026 parts to an extra class precision model. The single parts are of high-quality materials: 23 parts are zinc die-cast, 754 of metal, copper, or are photo-etched and 153 are made of plastic. The remaining 96 parts are screws, rivets or indicated screw heads. This model, wearing starting number 4, is a limited-edition of 5,000 pieces. Bernd Rosemeyer drove #4 to victory in the 1936 Grand Prix of Germany. Less

CMC Ferrari Dino 156 F1 Monza, GP Italy 1961 #2 Limited Edition 1:18 Scale Ferrari Dino 156 F1 #2: Monza, GP Italy 1961, Driven by Phil Hill; The 1961 Formula 1 season came up with a completely new rule type.
