Contrary to some belief the Diageo owned Johnnie Walker is not a distiller but a blender, who blends whiskies purchased from 27 different distilleries located in Scotland, thus giving the blenders the resources to create Johnnie Walker Green Label Blended Malt, which consists of single malts from these distilleries, the key components being a minimum of 15 year old single malts from Talisker, Linkwood, Cragganmore and Caol Ila which all bring their own unique characteristics to Johnnie Walker Green Label. A wonderful award-winning Island malt bottled at above average strength with a comforting smooth afterglow. Peat-smoke with sea-water saltiness, the liquor of fresh oysters, a citrus sweetness. A rich dried-fruit sweetness with clouds of smoke and strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense. At the back of the mouth is an explosion of pepper.

Talisker has been producing its unique whisky since 1830. Talisker is a peaty, spicy, and slightly briny single malt. The Distillers Edition is finished in amoroso casks, lending sherry notes to this already full and complex Scotch.
