Open source router but unnecessarily costly
This is good router.... Stable also but I really found Netgear WGR614L better compared to this one. This is also a open source router supporting Tomato, DD-WRT etc.
The forum is also good. They have already announced tomato release for this router and all these you can get for much less...

Failed completely after 3 months
Worked well at first, but router became unreliable over time. After 3 months, it was dropping the cable modem network connection every 5 minutes or so. Hours with tech support were no help. Unreliable
I bought this Wrt54g V8 in 12/2007. It is only 2 months old. It drops the internet service on a weekly basis and you have to unplug device to reboot it.Now it is not working at all. firmware corrupted after power failure...
After a power failure, our wrt54g would no longer work...it had a flashing power LED ....which means "firmware corrupted".....I printed out some 13 pages from the Linksys web site and spent more than an hour dutifully following the instructions....I was able to delete the old firmware but the new...
