The HiLite backgrounds range allows the photographer to work in a way that was extremely difficult to achieve in the past, 'High Key' photography on location and in restrictive spaces. By rear lighting the white background itself there is no longer a need to use a background light behind the subject. Furthermore, because the background is actually illuminated it means the subject can stand virtually right in front of it without casting a shadow. The HiLite backgrounds also works as a large rear softbox and illuminates the subject as well, meaning you can use just one other flash head to light the subject from the front. What's more, whole thing is collapsible.

The 2140-C 3-Way Switching Flashhead contains the controls to operate at full power or ratio the power and the modeling light down one stop (-1) or two stops (-2). The flashhead cannot be turned completely off.The 2140-C Flashhead comes equipped with a 1000 watt-second flash tube (color corrected to 5500 K), 100 watt tungsten modeling lamp, 25 cord, and a mounting bracket with knobs for securing the bracket to a light stand and attaching an umbrella. This bracket also has a universal adapter base which allows it to mount to either a standard 5/8 stud (with an optional accessory 4041 adaptor it can also mount to a smaller 3/8 tube/stud). The Quadra “a” head is designed to be used with the Elinchrom Quadra power pack . This head gives a Short flash duration of up to 1/3200 and is about the same size as popular tilt-head flashes on the market today but much more powerful. Their small size means the photographer will be able to mount them just about anywhere. In fact, these heads are so small and lightweight they can be mounted using a Manfrotto 175 spring clamp (sold separately) . Imagine being able to mount this 400ws flash on a window sill, lamp, door frame, edge of a desk or even on the back of a chair. The Strobelite Box consistently delivers even, natural lighting. Each unit comes standard with two heat vents as well as an inner baffle and outer diffusion panel. The internal baffle and outer diffusion panel are each easily removed, allowing you to go from soft, diffused lighting to high contrast lighting without changing your setup. Soft Box comes complete with carry case. A speed ring is required for mounting. Maximum wattage is 500 watts.

The F0008 is a custom manufactured plug-in type flash tube, enclosed in a vented glass envelope. This lamp is used in the 2103-FC Bare Tube Flash Head. The lamp is color corrected and rated 1500 watt-seconds when used with the fan cooling provided with the 2103-FC.CAUTION: When used in the 2103-FC with the fan disabled (when the modeling lamp switch on the power pack is turned off for example), the flash tube power rating is derated to 1000 watt-seconds maximum.
