The Best cordless phone.
We bought this Panasonic KX-TG1032 to replace a GE set that was poor in general. That was over a year ago.
The reason for switching to Panasonic was motivated mostly by reviews for this product. They also had a decent warranty.

I just bought this phone and have tested it thoroughly for range and clarity. As for the technology it uses, it's quite simple, but effective. The DECT standard is an alternative to 5.8Ghz phones. The sound is very clear and the volume is very adequate. I haven't really tested the range, but it has worked well in my attached garage (about 40 ft from the receiver).
