My Life As A Brick - The Palm LifeDrive PDA.
"Write what you know." While most people cannot agree on the original author of this time-worn phrase, many agree that it is the best way to authentically express oneself. All arguments aside, I generally subscribe to this theory when it comes to product reviews. I know ALL ABOUT Palm PDA devices... Read full review »
garbage
slow, breaks, bulky, slow, expensive, slow, useless, stops working, gets stuck. just not a good product at all, constantly breaks, until it stopped charging, just a waste. Read full review »
A pocket assistant made for a giant
I bought this PDA (my first) for use in nursing school. I do use it frequently for accessing databases while working in the hospital. I was also surprised to use it frequently for playing games during down time (i.e., waiting for an oil change), although I am not a gamer. During other situations... Read full review »
Palm LifeDrive = junk
I have had a Palm One lifeDrive for over a year now and it is the most disappointing piece of hardware I have ever had. It is slow, has all sorts of glitches and recently gave up the ghost completely. I wish I had done a better job of researching before my purchase, the info was available that this... Unit for techies
This unit is a great PDA but be forewarned...
its for people with above average computer skills.
Its 4 gig harddrive + sd card slot makes it better than some older laptops...Wifi, bluetooth great buy.

LifeDrive is a piece of junk
I am a die had Palm user. I started with a Palm IV and have worked my way up to the LifeDrive. I purchased the LD because of its memory, applications, WiFi, and Bluetooth capability. I have enjoyed the unit when it works, but unfortunately the unit has major stability issues.
I have been...

Bad product
This product is built to break. The only good review it will really get are from very new owners. I would rather like everyone to know that it is a waste of money and time. Palm is now owned by people who don't know how to make the product work and are simply using it prior reputation to virtually... Read full review »
palm LifeDrive handheld rocks!!!
Novice owner, did at first load every option on installation CD onto handheld, big error. Had resets, erased hard drive with palm support, added all palm upgrades and keyboard driver, support excellent! Selectively reloaded, excluded Rapsody, email or phone connect! Have loaded much 3rd party nurse... Read full review »
Bad investment
I agree the life drive has been a bad investment. Its has be riddled with problems from software conflicts to the device it self just failing. And customer support once you get past the language barrier doesn't have a clue...They schedule for a level 2 tech who take days to call you back. DON'T... Read full review »
Lifedrive Crashes and will not turn back on
I have had to send this product back twice already for the same problem. Now it has occurred again, just out of your warranty period too. This is a poor product, with absolutely poor warranty repair service that I paid $AU750 for. Now I am expected to PAY more money to repair it AGAIN, a fault that... Read full review »
Palm Lifedrive-The End of a Dynasty
Up until I purchased the Lifedrive I was an avid Palm fan, having owned and progressively upgraded from the III to the Tungsten T2 via the IIIC and the M501. The Lifedrive will definitely mark the end of my Palm experience. If it were not for the fact that my son-in-law works across the street from... Read full review »
Cannot be relied upon
I have been a loyal Palm user for some time, having stuck with Tungsten T for over three years. My uses are probably pretty standard: organizer functions (calendar/contacts/notes/tasks) for use most of the time, plus games and reading texts for when on the public transport.
I have even...

Vital to my day to day life!
I have used my LifeDrive for one year now and I cannot imagine life without it! I am a college student and I find it much easier to type class notes on the infrared keyboard than it is to drag my laptop around. I listen to music while walking to class and I use the voice recorder for interviews... Read full review »
LifeDrive - Not What You Would Expect
I bought the LifeDrive on 8/4/06 and returned it on 8/23/06. I thought it would be a wonderful addition to my other electronic devices and make my life easier. Boy, was I wrong.
At first, everything went smoothly (1st week), then as I performed the HotSync more frequently, I would lose...

PalmOne LifeDrive
My teenage daughter has been bugging me for months now to get her a laptop or PDA so she could use it for her school work. I guess I waited a bit too long to get her one before school got out since she has less than two weeks to go before summer vacation. I decided that the laptop was going to be... Read full review »
Awful Customer Service
I bought 2 LifeDrives (one for me and one for my wife) - they are both faulty and although over a week is passed I haven't heard back from Palm on my complaints. Nothing. Awful is an understatement. Read full review »
Good Product
Before I purchased the LifeDrive, I spent a good deal of time carefully going through the reviews and the competitive products. Then I went to local retail outlets and tried out a variety of PDAs. Whatever someone buys needs to "fit" their particular use, and for me that means a fairly high end... Read full review »
The Lifedrive genuinely sucks
I deeply regret purchasing this product. For the second time in less than a year, it has stopped functioning. The first time, it abruptly would no longer call up its onscreen menu, but would only display a "PalmOne" logo that would not shut off. This was covered by warrantee, but I had to ship it... What a waste of money
This sounds like such a cool device...
But the every time it crashes it restores everything from the last sync, wiping all changes. This is the worst handheld I have ever purchased. Even worse then Windows Mobile 5.0 and all of the earlier versions.
Why can't a company like Palm...
