Nerf Firevision Sports Football

I have boys and they love to toss balls with daddy.  Unfortunatley in the fall, that gets more difficult due to the sun setting earlier.  I was introduced to the New Nerf Firevision Football through a Bzz campaign.  When we received our free ball from BzzAgent, my boys instantly fell in love with it, encouraging them to spend more time outside.

For a new twist on an old idea (foam balls), Nerf has created the Firevision series of toys.  Taken out of the package, Firevision appears to be just another Nerf Football.  It's a black foam which is durable and a decent size for any hands.  My boys have kicked and thrown the ball around like crazy and it's still in like-new condition. 

But this mild mannered ball by day, turns into a flaming firevision ball at night with the help of the firevision glasses.  Included in the package is two sets of firevision "glasses", which shoot a lasar like beam of light at the ball (one in red and one in green.  The light the reflects off the reflector strips on the ball, lighting it up.  The odd thing is, only the person wearing the glasses can see the lights.  (I did capture the light while taking a picture of it with the flash).

All of my kids (2, 4, 6 and 38) totally enjoyed the Firevision Football.  While the youngest just liked wearng the glasses around.  The boys on the other hand, loved trying to catch the ball with the firevision.  They still try to wear the glasses around during the day they love it so much.  Personally I find it wierd, but if it gets them outside throwing a ball it doesn't matter what it looks like.
