In the early 1970s, Teleson, a company located in Rouen, convinced Pierre Labric to record, without a contract (and gratis pro Deo!), a considerable number of repertoire works with, foremost amongst them, the symphonies of Vierne and Widor as well as the works of Demessieux - three large groups that were subsequently sold without any qualms to the Musical Heritage Society, based in New York at the time. MHS released them in the form of three boxed sets that, alas, owing to their success, soon sold out and become impossible to find. The years passed, then the decades.
