Microsoft Xbox 360 Slim (4 GB) Black Console

I have the new 4GB Xbox 360 slim but I do not have the kinect to go along with it. Before this purchase, I never had an Xbox. I thought since they came out with the new Xbox 360 I thought this would be a good opportunity to be ahead of the game.
                One thing that really caught my eye was its stylish look with the jet black outside with the curve near the power button. The power button is a touch screen basically because you don’t have to press hard at all. Same with the disk slot open button. One thing that irritates me is that the power button is extremely sensitive. My dog was walking by it and her fur touched it ever so slightly and it turned off. The outside look isn’t the only stylish thing about this upgraded platform; the main menu is gorgeous as well. The way it looks is so cool because you can go through the menu and then go through what I like to call, sub categories (they’re not really sub categories). I like how you can have your Zune account to watch music videos, Netflix, twitter, etc. These features are very unique including the fact you can see your friends in a sub category and who they’re in a party with.
                The main reason I bought an Xbox 360 was because all the games I really wanted were on this platform. Personally, I wasn’t ahead of the game with my platforms because when everyone had a Wii, I had a ps2 so when the brand new Xbox came out, I begged my parents to get me one and they said yes. I was talking to a friend who was also not ahead of the game who got this new Xbox as well and he said that they’re not making a new Xbox 360 for a couple years and they’re going to keep on making updates for this one. I thought I finally had a new system that would last a while. But we know the WII U is coming out with PS3 that came out a while ago but I think that the PS3 will stay popular as well as the Xbox.
                Another good thing for parents about the Xbox is the Xbox Parental Controls. Once you make your Xbox account, you will have to make your parents an account because you’re under age. Once the accounts are made, the parents control everything the kids can do like which games they can download off the Xbox live market place.  You can turn the parental controls off or on as well. I’m basically the control of the Xbox because my mom does not use it. When I tried to download an M rated game, it would not let me and I figured out it was because of the parental controls so I made the correct parental controls making me do anything but it still wouldn’t let me download it so then I turned the parental controls off and it still did not work so that would have to be a glitch about the Xbox 360 because some of my friends had that same problem.
                The Xbox 360 game marketplace is a feature I mentioned in the last paragraph but I thought it should have its own. It’s very cool that the Xbox has this feature if you have a connection to the internet because it’s easier than going to the store. You must have a hard drive for this specific 4 GB version or else it won’t let you get games. I prefer to actual get the games from the store because then you can trade games as you can’t on the market place. Also, when you download games from the marketplace, it fills your hard drive rapidly because it’s downloading the whole game rather than adding an extra MB to where your last save point was on an actual disk game. You can get demos from the marketplace so you don’t have to spend $60 on a game you find out you don’t like. You can get Add on packs from the marketplace to add on to your games. A cool thing about the Xbox 360 is that whatever game you get on your account, it goes to all the accounts so you can all have the same game.  
                Xbox live is something that makes the Xbox the Xbox. You need Xbox live to talk to friends, play games with friends, and to have multiple add ons like Netflix etc. You can get an Xbox live card right from your Xbox or to go out and buy one. Xbox live for a year for 2 accounts that you purchased online is about $100 but it is cheaper if you actually get from the store.
                Your avatar and your profile and very unique too because you can customize your avatars clothes and your avatars background plus stuff you can buy it from the avatar marketplace. You can use your avatar in c couple arcade games but the only one I know you can use it in is the Doritos Crash Course which is like the Wipeout game and TV show. With your profile, friends can see your bio as well as your game achievements. They can also compare their friends and games to yours. Very cool feature indeed.
                The new Xbox 360 is a great system to have because it will last a long time and bring fun to the whole family. I recommend this to everybody because you can play the kinect together as well as sit down and play other great graphical games. The sound and picture quality is great because it makes you feel like you’re a part of the game like GTA 4 does. Again, I highly recommend this to the people who like to spend time with their families and to the kids and adults who look for a good game to that goes along with a great game system.
