The left column is numbered from 1 to 12 for the hour, while the rows to the right fill up according to the number of minutes. (The right column is numbered by fives for an instant accounting of the exact time.) A similar method conveys the month and date. At the touch of a button, the LEDs illluminate and remain that way for 10 seconds.
