Pros My iRobot Discovery did a fair job of keeping the carpet clean.
Cons Cheaply made in China and both of my iRobot products have both quit working.
Recommended it? No

I have two iRobot products, both which have quit working recently and had to be shipped to iRobot for service. I purchased the Scooba the end of September and it ran 15 minutes before stopping with a yellow check tank light. I've tried everything their website suggests for this problem and it would... Pros I thought I had a new cleaning person to do my floors,I was fooled.
Cons My cleaning person will have to be rehired to wash the floors,Scooba failed miserably.
Recommended it? No

I own a Roomba (who upon firt use fell two flights down my stairs)whose battery did not last much more than one year, (six months only as I am away for 6 months). I then bought a Scooba which never worked more than 20 minutes before it totally failed. I returned it for a new one at Best Buy and... Read full review »

Pros cleans surprisingly well
Cons loud, doesn't pick up dirty water well, or clean edges.
Recommended it? Yes

WOW! I have fallen in love for the second time (of course, my husband was #1). I purchased my Scooba from woot.com about 2 months ago. I admit, it was an impulse buy, but I am glad I listened to my instinct. I knew there were robot vacuums on the market, but not about the Scooba, so was excited. I... Read full review »

Pros It shipped fast.
Cons Support for the product is lacking, poorly manufactured machine. I'd say a waste of...
Recommended it? No

Didn't work out of the box. I spent hours trying to diagnose on the support site. Got it to run and it stopped 10 times in a 10x12 kitchen. 6 hour later I have no clean floor. I see why people love it lol Read full review »

Scooba is unreliable

Pros Fascinating technology with a great concept.
Cons Unreliable design and manufacturing flaws
Recommended it? No

Although I love the technology, I am deeply disappointed about my Sccoba, which I bought about three months ago. After a short while, it didn't work very well, many problems with the water release, the opening of the main cover, and other electronic issues. I feel, that this unit is not yet mature... Really helps with pets!

Pros Leaves floors amazing, easy to start, easy to clean up after use.
Cons So expensive
Recommended it? Yes

This thing was so expensive but worth it for me. Most of you out there maybe mop once a week? Us with pets this can be daily. With my pet, a great dane this has become a daily chore. I was apprehensive about it at first but when I left it go while I was at work and come home to a spot less floor I... Read full review »

expensive and won't last but good when it does last

Pros good when they work, saves time
Cons expensive and they do not last
Recommended it? No

Scooba 5900 just died, just short of 2 years old - $365 purchase. The Discovery Robot we bought lasted two years and had to be replaced as well. So you spend a lot of money for the machine to last about 2 years. If you're hiring maid, that will be more. Otherwise, it's an expensive indulgence... Read full review »

I love this Robot

Pros Hands-free cleaning.
Cons Doesn't really "dry" the floor as advertised.
Recommended it? Yes

This is my second iRobot purchase. They ran a great deal over the holidays: buy the Scooba, get a base-level Roomba for free. I kept the Scooba, and gave the Roomba as a gift as I already have one. With two dogs, this combination is a no-brainer. I use the Roomba to pick up the dog hair, and the... Read full review »

Scooba is now a member of the family!

Pros Thorough, effective cleaning. My floors GLEAM and SHINE!
Cons A bit noisy, shouldn't be run unsupervised. Not a "set it and forget it"...
Recommended it? Yes

I have a 3-year old and a 6-month old, hence, perpetually DIRTY floors, even though I have a "take off your shoes" policy when entering the house. Doesn't matter, kids leave shrapnel everywhere from things they eat.

I had a Hoover Floormate that gave up the ghost. It takes me more than an... Read full review »

Didn't work at all -

bymrsboze May 20, 2006

Pros none
Cons didn't work at all
Recommended it? No

I pride myself on keeping my house clean and spend most of my time on my floors because we have two dogs which stay in a certain area near the kitchen for the most part. The Scooba wouldn't even pick up the little bit of dog hair on the floor, it pushed it along. It has a tiny holding tank for any... Read full review »
