It does the work for you while you can do something else or go someplace else. I believe it cleans pretty well. But I found it doing the work by yourself is much easier and take less time. Love My Roomba
I purchased this vacuum online at the irobot site. I invested in an extra filter, however after over six months of use I haven't had to replace it.
