Pros Bluetooth, slim design, expandable, true synchronizing with MS Outlook
Cons No cradle in the box, no Wi-Fi (costs $150 more for different model)
Recommended it? Yes

I have owned the HP iPaq 1945 since November of 2003.

After six months of ownership, I have good things to say about this handheld.

In the Box:
When you open the box you will get the handheld, battery, stylus, audio cable adapter (more on that later), a charging cable, and... Read full review »

Pros Small size, Bluetooth, Great Screen, Lots of Memory, SDIO slot
Cons No Serial Port, Yellowish Hue on screen, D-Pad is a little small.
Recommended it? Yes

I have owned an ipaq 1945 (referred to as the 1945 from here on out) since Christmas. This pocketpc is nearly perfect. It has plenty of memory, speed, and expandability.

This thing is darn sexy! About the size of my m505, but much more capable. On the left side, we find the IR port, reset... Read full review »

Pros cheap.
Cons Fragile and unusable in real life.
Recommended it? No

HP products was the only option at a local computer store for a Pocket PC, so I bought an IPAQ 1945. The reason I picked the 1945 was because it was $100 cheaper than the other HP IPAQs. The product functioned as advertised, and you could not tell it had a Samsung processor instead of an Intel... Read full review »

Pros Replaceable battery, bluetooth, speed, display, size and weight is wonderful!
Cons Lousy manual.Cannot import all of the 100's of entries I had in palm OS!
Recommended it? Yes

I decided to upgrade from a older Sony whose battery had dies. I wanted bluetooth, color, speed and reliability and ease of operation. I am almost 50 and the eyesight is not what it used to be, so a good display was essential.
In the ipaq 1945 I got all of the above and more. I am extremely... Read full review »

Very Cool Toy, Still Doesn't Compete With Palm in Real Life.

Pros Great basic unit, possibilities are virtually endless, beautiful screen, small size.
Cons OS too cumbersome for practical business use. Alarms aren't very useful, no alarms...
Recommended it? No

This is more a review of the Pocket PC/ Windows Mobile 2003 OS in contrast to my 4-year experience with Palm units, rather than the Ipaq 1945 itself. The ipaq is really just a shell for the OS anyway. The unit is built well and has ok battery life, the screen is vivid, sharp and colorful, the... Read full review »

Pros The color, the speed, the easy integration with MS Outlook and the memory.
Cons No cradle in box-$50 accessory. No case. Can't fully customize icons and folders.
Recommended it? Yes

I recently bought the iPAQ 1945 after my Sony Clie crashed and died completely, which I bought after my Palm III crashed and died completely.

So far, I love it. The color, the speed, the easy integration with MS Outlook and the memory.

What I love the most so far is the super... Read full review »

Experience has been great. I bought it to sort out my multitasking life and needed perfect Outlook functionality and compatability. Got that. Super easy audio recording and I am security paranoid but so far very happy also in that respect.

Pros Easy to navigate, active sync software worked great, loved to read ebooks on it.
Cons cost of ownership, fragile, expensive to replace screens
Recommended it? No

I've had my PDA for 6 months. It WAS a very functional and handy tool for work (Critical care & Flight nursing) and a great unit to read ebooks on. While on a flight with the unit in a leather case the first screen cracked out. $187 & 3 weeks later I got my electronic companion back. I put it in a... Read full review »

Pros Fast processing speed, smooth operation ,brilliant color display.
Cons Cheap construction,Bad customer service
Recommended it? No

When I purchased my Ipaq 1945 in January 2004 I was amazed by what it could do. Some of the highlights are fast speed , multi tasking , upgradeable, and the amazing color display. But after 4 months the Screen internally cracked after a hot sync. This unit was not dropped or impacted in anyway so I... Read full review »
