The Bottom Line:
Overall I would recommend the HTC Inspire 4G Smartphone. It is a light and versatile smartphone all-in-one device for the person on the go
A little over two months ago I went into my local AT&T store to redeem the upgrade credit I had and get a much needed new phone to replace my worn out old one. I went in wanting an Apple iPhone, but I left with a new HTC Inspire 4G Smartphone. When I first approached the sales associate I informed him I was looking for an iPhone, and that I had seen online that I could purchase it for $199 with my upgrade. He told me that I yes, i could do that, but he had just sold the store's last iPhone to the customer before me. The sales associate could tell I was hoping to leave with a new phone that day, so he asked me if he could interest me in any of the number of other smartphone the store had in stock. Reluctantly I decided to let him entertain me, but I was pretty set on buying an iPhone. The first phone he showed me was the HTC Inspire 4G Smartphone. He handed me the floor model so I could see the general size of the phone. The first thing I noticed was its amazing 4.3" screen. I held it next to the iPhone and realized I the screen on the HTC Inspire 4G was larger the the whole entire iPhone, yet it was the same thickness and relatively the same weight. It was then that the associate at the AT&T store handed me his personal phone, which just happened to be the HTC Inspire 4G Smartphone. I played around with the phone for about ten minutes. I loved it;s seven screens of apps, the convenient display of four buttons at the bottom of the screen. The Android Market had any app I could ever need. I was still skeptic at this point on what my purchase decision should be, but the sales associate told me that i had 30 days to bring the phone back and exchange it, no questions asked. I really liked the phone, and with a 30 day no questions asked exchange policy I figured i would be able to get a good chance to determine if this was the phone for me. So I bought the phone, and only had to spend $55 dollars when I had planned on spending $199 for the iPhone. I left the store with my new HTC 4G Inspire Smartphone and never looked back. I really enjoy the WiFi capabilities of my new phone, I am able to use hardly any of my data plan since there aren't many places you go today without free WiFi. The only issue I have had with this phone is that the battery life is less than long. I start the day with a fully charged battery, and I use it a fair amount. By 5:00 the energy saved mode automatically turns on because I have set it to do so at 30% battery life. This is fine if I am just going home, but if I want to go out that night I have to be sure to bring along my car charger so my phone battery doesn't die.
