You can add color to the candle by filling it with tinted lamp oil. The candles are 3/4 in diameter and 8 in length. The pegged bottom fits standard candle holders but a flexible ribbed collar is included with each candle to provide a more snug fit if your candle holder should be a little oversize. This graceful glass oil lamp insert can be placed into any container to create a long-burning oil lamp. It consists of four pieces: a 2-3/4 dia. X 4-1/4 high oil container, a rubber collar on the bottom peg for a snug fit, a glass wick holder and a 5 cotton wick. You can insert the bottom peg into your base using the rubber collar to provide a secure fit. Then remove the wick holder, fill the container with lamp oil, re-insert the wick and wick holder and light the wick.
