If it doesn't rain then I have a nice hammock to sit in. It can be used as a tent with a bottom for 6ft of length to keep you dry. Or if you are taller than that it can be strung longways as a bivy and offers 10ft of dry ground beneath. I have also used this hammock strung diagonally above another hammock to make a complete dry sleep system. I have found that this hammock works great in very hot areas as a shade or a rain collector. When its a good night for sleeping under the stars I just spread it out and use it as a tarp to put my sleeping bag and all of my gear on to keep everything clean. When there is unpredictable weather I bring this on day hikes as well, I can hardly tell its there and if it starts to pour I have an instant shelter. This hammock is a good one for winter camping...
