Favorite and Best Socks For Winter
Having trouble finding socks that are proper for cold weather, then take a look here.
Best Made Winter Socks
I had previously bought the three pair pack of Merino Wool Blend Socks and have been very pleased with them as they have kept my feet warm on cold winter weather before spring this year and I have started wearing them again for setting up some food plots for my dad when it has been in the upper forties degrees F up to the mid fifties degrees F early in the morning before the official time of sun rise. They are some excellent socks as I wore them next to a fire pit during the winter time last year and my feet were more than toasty when it got down to freezing the fire helped some but it was primarily Merino Wool Blend Socks and that I also had on thermolite socks made by Fox River.
Now the Browning Heavy Wool socks were great to wear in the cold on another night by a firepit or bon fire because the Browning Heavy Wool Socks have a long and well established for having some of the finest accessories made in America and over seas. They felt warm and toasty on that below freezing night. The comfort and cushioning is very plush feeling more so than Egyptian Cotton. The socks also kept my feet from getting damp which is another fine reason as any type of Wool keeps your feet warm even while wet or warmer than what you would be than if you were wearing cotton socks.
The Fox River Thermolite Sock Liner is an excellent choice for when your winter socks are just not keeping your feet warm enough. Thermolite is designed to work like Polar Bear Hair as it has a hollowcore and makes for a great thermal barrier against the cold whether it is a dry cold or a wet (or better known as humid) cold. Thermolite is a must for colder climiates because it works very well and also if the socks were to get wet they would retain some heat as to where again cotton will leave your feet wet and freezing cold.
Smartwool Liner Socks Thermolite are great too for colder weather and personally they are some of the best on the market other than getting them Cabela's or REI or any other quality sports and outdoors store. When considering the cost I generally pick the Fox River Thermolite Liner socks over the Smartwool Socks Thermolite liners.
Even though I do not have a picture up but if you come across some Cashmere Liner Socks I would highly recommend them as they work as well as Thermolite or even Thermax. The Cashmere Liner Socks are a bargain if you can get them for less than sixty bucks.
Overall any of the socks added with a thermolite sock liner you will stay much warmer and your feet will stay dry.
In my point of view I would say the best matchup for retaining warmth and staying dry I would go with the two pack of Browning Heavy Wool Socks and the Smartwool Socks Thermolite liners.
