Cold Weather Socks 101 Read to Be Well Informed

Various socks to wear during the bitter cold of fall and winter.

All of these socks have helped my feet stay warm and comfortable during the colder days of spring, fall and especially winter. Winter down here can get into the teens on the scale of Fareinheit.

My favorite out of these is the Cabela's Wool Boot Socks as I have been wearing over the past five years and have had no problems with bunching or sliding down. The socks stay up just as they are supposed to...the primary reason for these socks to bunch up is because of not rolling up the socks so they basically glide on in.

I liked wearing all of these year round becaise of the excellent support in the arches and the shock absorption due to the thickness of the socks on the bottom from the terry material.

Wool in socks are an excellent idea as they stay relatively warm even while wet or damp, so you do not have to worry about your feet getting frost bitten, unless you are high up in the mountains then I would recommend chaning your socks in a ten or some other type of shelter to help your feet stay relatively warm.

All of these socks are perfect for winter weather in Florida and I would have to say that the Cabela's Wool Boot Socks are good enough to wear up in colder climates as my experience that they got to hot even at a little below freezing.

The Cabela's Wool Work Socks are great for if you are planning to be standing for a while and then walking or jogging etc. They stay warm and toasty down to about thirty degrees F to forty degrees F. These are incredibly comfortable and would recommend these to any one needing an additional cushioning from hard insoles or worn out insoles in the shoes you wear.

The Cabela's At Work Socks are wonderful if you plan on being on your feet for eight or more hours as they provide great comfort from the construction and the materials used to make them. They provide comfort for both of the entire feet because due to the wonderful cushioning from the terry inside the sock. And to maintain that softness I would recommend using Liquid Fabric Softener and / or Fabric Softener Sheets to prevent premature falling apart due to becoming non lubricated by the Liquid Fabric Softener.

The REI Organic Merino Wool hiker is another great pick for cold weather down to upper thirties degrees F to upper forties degrees F. They are great because it is a green product which uses organic fertilizers and sprays which does not harm the environment.

My absolute favorites out these four socks is the Cabela's Wool Boot Socks and the REI Organic Merino Wool Hiker; however, the other socks are great too but do not stand up to cold weather very well as my listed favorites such as the Cablea's Wool Work Socks and the Cabela's At Work Socks.

Overall I would recommend the Cablela's Wool Boot Socks and also recommend REI Organic Merino Wool Hiker.
