The best sparkly, irridiscent eyeshadows for day or night.

Here are some of the best, irridescent and sparkly eyeshadows out there for any skin or hair color that are great for the holidays, day or night wear along with their descriptions.

Larenim which is "mineral" spelled backward makes some of the best eyeshadows I've ever come across. This is a natural/organic makeup company and I discovered them while shopping in a gift store out of town one day. I notice they also sell these in my local vitamin stores and have ordered from vitamin stores online. This brand is my go-to brand when it comes to eyeshadow because it does not disappoint. I always get compliments and use with a natural or synthetic long-handled eyeshadow brush. The one I wear daily is called "Bewitched Sands". This has an pearlescence to it (sort of a pearl-like shimmer). It is along the lines of beige/pink/champagne and a very neutral color. I've worn it when I'm blonde, redhead or even brunette! I also wear it during the day with black, brown or green eyeliner. Larenim gives you a lot in the container (it is 2 grams of loose eyeshadow), which lasts me about a year (even with daily use). I just shake a little out container (it has a perforated lid inside so that only a little bit can come out at a time) into the lid and dip my eyeshadow brush into it, picking it up. I brush onto my eyelids. I use it alone or with other colors but mostly alone! It matches almost anything I wear. The ingredients are minimal; Mica, Titanium Dioxide, and Iron Oxides. This is bar-none my favorite daily color. The cost is awesome at only $9.49 (larenim.com) and I've seen it as little as $5 on sale (Supersup.com). Compared to Mac and other high-end companies, it's a great deal!

For a fun night out on the town (or the holidays), a GREAT sparkly eyeshadow is Incantation by Larenim. It has silvery clear-white, irridescent sparkles (small sparkles, not large). This looks great OVER another eyeshadow like any light greys, greens, blues, silvers, or pretty much anything. Be careful because it will spill onto the rest of the face and only a little is needed. The ingredients are simple; Borosilicate, and Titanium Dioxide and is also a loose shadow in a 2-gram container with shaker-style lid.

Larenim has a great silver which is perfect for the holidays called Amulet. It isn't too white, nor too grey, but a grey with sparkle (but no sparkles in it). It is an irridescent light grey and works great over the entire lid. I love to wear this color on the holidays alone or with Angst (from Larenim's Goth Collection). Angst is an irridescent, dark pewter grey. It works great on the outer edges and the two together make a great "silver" look for Christmas or New Year's.

A great daily wear eyeshadow with sparkles is Cherry by Urban Decay. This is a light, irridescent pink with small, silver glitter. I like to wear it for day or night (it can sort of be dressed up or down). It works well on blondes, but also for brunettes. It's great on it's on over the entire eyelid and be careful while putting it on because sparkles will fall onto your cheeks. This is 1.5 grams of pressed shadow in a container with flip-open lid. It lasts quite awhile and is just overall fun to us. It's great paired up with other Urban Decay colors as well.

Another great color for daily wear is Grifter by Urban Decay for anyone in a purple mood. It is a light purple in color and has silvery mini-sparkles in it. I usually wear it alone on the lid with eyeliner (like black or purple). Anyone into glitter would be into Urban Decay eyeshadows! Urban Decay eyeshadow singles are pricey (as much as a high-end department store price) at $17.00, but they do last (try urbandecay.com or Sephora stores). I have told you about two FUN ones by Urban Decay so you don't waste your money on ones you don't like. This color is only for people who can wear lavenders or purples, avoid if that is not you!

The last eyeshadow I would recommend to anyone looking for a pearlescent neutral color (to go with almost any color) would be by Maybelline called Tranquil Sands. I use it in the inner corners of my eyes or as a highlighter to other shadows. I also use it on my brow bone as a highlighter (it works the best). It's light, beige and shimmery so I love it. It's a pressed powder and comes with an applicator, but I throw that out and use my own eyeshadow brushes. It usually costs around $3 or $4 tops.

Beautiful and fun eyeshadows to wear!
