Love Uggs but not the steep price? My Top Ugg Alternatives.

Ugg boots are super popular and super expensive. But there are alternatives to Uggs that are as comfy, warm, and well made for much less. Here are my favorites!

Bearpaw Shearling Boots are Cozy and Well Made

I have several pairs of Bearpaw shearling boots and they are very, very comfy, warm, and well made. They are made with real shearling and come in a variety of colors and shaft heights.

These boots fit true to size, unlike Uggs which run large. They are made to be worn without socks but, of course you can also wear socks with them if you choose. I always wear mine barefoot because the warm, cozy shearling feels so good on my feet. These boots have mild arch support but good traction and look great cuffed of not. They are also a fraction of the price of Uggs and can often be found on sale. I adore all of my Bearpaws and don't feel I have given up quality for the lower price.

Emu Australia Stingers are AMAZING!

Emu Australia makes two types of shearling boots, The Stinger and the Bronte. The Stingers are exactly like Uggs with the same materials and very high quality. They're not super cheap but they are super comfortable, durable, and oh so warm!

These boots come in a variety of shaft heights from very low to high. I have a few pairs of the high ones and they are so cushy! I got them on sale for a great price and will get more when the sales come around again. There are a variety of colors in the Stingers but not as many as I would like. I think I may have every color they make! Oh no!

The construction of the Emu Australia Stinger really does rival Uggs and I believe they are as good in every way as Uggs.

Emu Australia Bronte Boots - The Wool Alternatives

Emu Australia Bronte Shearling boots are a lower priced Emu boot that are lined with genuine Australian merino wool instead of shearling. The wool is fuzzy and wicks moisture well. It is also temperature controlled like the other boots I mentioned.

They come in a variety of colors and shaft heights. I have a couple of pair of Brontes and I can't tell the difference between the wool and shearling when I wear them barefoot. However, I do feel these are warmer than the others all the time. That is, they don't seem to cool down my feet in warmer environments as fast as the shearling lined boots. That said, they are also the warmest outdoor shearlings I own!

These run true to size and hold up very well to the elements. They are about the same price as the Bearpaws I mentioned above so it's a matter of preference between the two.

Tone Up, Stay Warm In Skechers Shape Up Avalanche

I am a Skechers Shape Ups fanatic so, when I saw that they had an Ugg-like boot for winter, I grabbed two pairs on sale. I really like them. These boots look like Uggs but have a cute riding strap across the ankle area. They also have the Shape Up signature rocker bottom which adds height and forces you to be work your core as you walk around.

Lined in faux fur with a suede upper, the Avalanches are super comfy and warm. They feel a little funky at first because of the rocker bottom but I don't think twice about it anymore. I love walking around in mine. I definitely feel it in my legs after too - in a good way!

I was able to snag a pair of these in brown for under $60.00 and in black for under $50.00 on sale. Great prices for high quality boots that are warm, cute, and that help tone the legs. While not exactly Ugg lookalikes due to the rocker bottom and the strap, they are very warm, fun boots that also add some height as they tone. Love them!

Bromby Boots - The Lesser Known Shearling

Bromby Australia Shearling Sheepskin Flat Sole Boots are not as well known as some other names but they are good alternatives to Uggs. These boots are relatively inexpensive, starting at just $30.00! There aren't a lot of colors, just your basics, but they are made from genuine suede and sheepskin and are delightfully warm and comfy.

These boots run slightly small so half sizes should definitely size up. These have good traction and are comfortable but the quality is not quite as good as the boots above. Still, they will get you through tough winters as well as any other season and won't break the bank. My sister just bought a pair of black mid calf Bromby Boots for $35.00. Try finding Uggs for even three times that much! You won't!

These boots are a good choice for budget minded women who aren't looking for top quality but want GOOD quality because these are. They're a surprise hit!

There are many, many other brand name boots out there that look like Uggs. Beach Feet, Fitzwell, Nino, and Adi come to mind. And every brand now has a shearling or faux shearling boot. I think every store from mass-market to high end department stores has their own brand of Ugg lookalikes. The real test is how the boots feel, wear, and hold up over time. The above are my personal favorites. I am sure there are others out there that may rival these in comfort and possibly in quality. However, all of the above have been extensively tested by yours truly and I know they are great picks!

Enjoy your "Ugg-alikes"!
