Guide for Purchasing a Coffee Maker
Having trouble deciding what will be the perfect coffee maker for your home? This is a guide to help you choose.
I haven't added one that grinds your coffee then brews for one major reason. I have found that the steam from the coffee maker get the ground coffee gummed up inside the machine and you have to take it apart to clean and I mean dig out the ground coffee before it turns into a hard lump.
Once you have figured out what you want from you coffee maker, its time to decide on he color. Since most of us leave the coffee maker on the counter, it's nice to have a choice of color to go with our decor.
Make sure that you purchase the right filter for the coffee maker. There are cone and fluted. Read the box before you purchase because some coffee makers come with a couple of filters and others come with none.
Perfect for Everyone
For days that we don't want a huge pot of coffee, the Keuring Platinum Brewing System if perfect. We can make one cup at a time using either the KCups or the reusable KCup that comes with the machine.
You can also purchase iced tea KCups, and hot cocoa KCups. Easy to use and makes great coffee.
With the Keurig you can have a lot of choices with the coffee.
When having guests, you can have several different kinds ready so that each of your guests can have exactly what they want. This way you don't have to have several different large pots going.
I recommend Green Mountain Coffee Breakfast Blend for your introduction to this machine.
A 12 Cup Coffee Maker
If you have a family that likes coffee this is perfect. It makes 12-6 ounce coffee cups. There is no burner to keep the coffee hot because it's a thermal pot. Keeps you coffee hot for hours so you don't have to worry about burning or frying the coffee. It's good to the very end of the pot
Great for Taking on Trips.
When we travel, we like to take our own coffee maker. If you have ever tried the coffee in hotel rooms you will understand why. Usually it isn't very good and you don't get but one cup a piece if you are a couple. If more people are in your room that drinks coffee, some are going to be left-out.
It's easy to pack in the car along with the fluted 4 cup filters and coffee.
Perfect for the Family That Likes to Live Outdoors
When you love outdoor living, you really need a coffee maker that can be placed over a fire or on your grill.
The kind coffee maker that is used on the grill or open fire is one that you have to pay particular attention because it doesn't have an automatic cut off. It will keep perking until you remove it from the fire.
If you don't watch it you can have coffee that is strong enough to walk or coffee that is burnt.
