The Wii game system may be one of, if not the, most entertaining and popular game systems out there. But "games" can be expensive, so it's good to know which ones kids love before you put out $79.99 for a video game that you or your kids may not love. Super Mario Galaxy is pretty super!
No matter where you look or where you plan on buying your next Wii game, you will find Super Mario Glaxay 2 high on the list of must have games for children. This long time favorite characer continues his adventures throughout the galaxy, taking children (and even some adults) along for the ride. Who knows maybe you will even enjoy the warp speed at which your kids rush to play this game. Both boys and girls will enjoy the game, but my daughter says the boys play it "better."
On the top of many a Christmas list, Kirby's Epic Yarn for Wii is a cute little pink "yarn" that takes kids on one adventure after another exploring the a world of buildings and landscapes created with "patches" of fabric style designs. Since Kirby can transform into a variety of shapes expect to see him become a car or submarine, to better make his way though the adventures. You may want to consider adding the official game guide to help you and your child make the most of this game. For both boys and girls, ages 5 and up.
It's Dora the Explorer!
Dora the Explorer's Journey to the Purple Planet in Gamecube is actually compatible with the Wii system. Based on the popular television show and book, Dora and Boots set off on an adventure to save the purple planet. As they travel through the galaxy your child learns about colors and shapes. Best of all it's a great way to introduce younger ones to the games of a gaming system because it has there is only movement and action without too many things to distract or confuse. Best for girls ages 3-5.
If you are looking for a little more education with your adventure, then the Big Brain Academy for Wii with help you and your child achieve just the "degree" of fun and learning that you hope for. Good fun for all ages, but the higher the level, the harder it may be for the young ones ages 3-5.

Whether they are 8 or 38, Madden 2011 for Wii scores points for action, adventure and sports. Sure, the boys like it more than the girls but even older girls will get in on the fun. Excellent graphics and team playing make this a "sporting" event for the whole family.
