Pros Compact in size and nearly idiot-proof
Cons Some delay with satellites, information can be dated
Recommended it? Yes

Edited to Add: I wrote this review in disbelief that this unit had not been reviewed by any other member. I've since learned that it is listed under several different versions (this one uses the "TM" after Nuvi, which apparently is mistaken as a different prpduct), and you can find two pages of... More out of your GPS, Less out of your wallet

Pros Size, Battery life, Features, Accuracy, Screen brightness, User Friendly, Wow factor
Cons Aged mapping, POI database inconsistency, Not hard-wire friendly
Recommended it? Yes

Procrastination had pushed off the idea of a GPS unit for years, mostly because of the skyrocketing prices when they first showed up. However, in the late 2006, I was rather surprised to find that many high quality units could be had for fractions of what they emerged at. That so, I set out to find... Read full review »

Back in the good ole’ days, out of college, no mortgage, no family, when 100% of my post-bar tab take-home pay was disposable, I would have gladly plunked down the dough for a GPS device. But then one day I realized how much money I’d been wasting on these unnecessary gadgetary-type purchases. I... Read full review »

Pros Very portable, can easily fit into a purse or pocket. Clear, precise directions.
Cons Limited to one way point on route.
Recommended it? Yes

We wanted to get a GPS unit and tried two other units before getting out Consumer Reports and going with the Nuvi they recommended. We find it works very well, and the voice prompts are timely and easy to understand - although it does pronounce a couple of streets differently than the "Locals". We... Read full review »

great product. i love the size. put it in your shirt pocket and you can find your way around lower manahttan. picture viewer is a crowd pleaser on vacation.

After insisting on the Nav option in my wife's car, my wife loves it and gave the green light to get one for my car. After comparing in dash units, portables, PDA, etc, I ended up with the Nuvi 350 and am very happy.

PEOPLE WITHOUT NAV DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE MISSING

We've had our NUVI 350 GPS for three weeks and now consider it part of the family. We named our unit "Jill" from the voice option we chose to use when Jill tells us where to go.

Most recently, we took "Jill" along with us to Michigan to a summer cottage vacation. Not only did Jill get us... Read full review »

Pros Clear video, compact
Cons Problems with connections at times, short battery life

I have absolutely no sense of direction. If I have a 50-50 chance of going the wrong way, I make the wrong turn 90% of the time.

I was very happy when Consumer Reports came out with a review of GPS devices for cars just in time for my 50th birthday. My husband bought me the top rated... Read full review »

A thief stole my 10 year old Garmin GPS+ so I bought a Nuvi 350 recommended by Best Buy's in-store expert. Hopefully, all the stuff the theif stole less my $500 Homeowner's deductible will soften the high cost.

My first confusion came trying to get rid of the default Garmin HOME; "Toto we... Read full review »
