Allowing both the manifold and turbo housing to cool at similar rates, reducing the risk of warping and cracking to the manifold in key locations. Each manifold is designed with a ball seal at each joint eliminating exhaust leaks, while allowing the metal to expand as the manifold heats up. With an increase in airflow and a decrease in exhaust gas temperatures the overall performance of your truck will be improved, showing more horsepower and torque. Also as an added benefit Performance Diesel Inc. is replacing all stock bolts used to hold the turbo to the manifold with quality studs to prevent bolt breakage, caused by stress and heat.

Banks 730: Exhaust System TorqueTube Exhaust Manifold System by Banks. Cast OEM exhaust manifolds just are too restrictive. Replacing them with Banks Torque Tubes will substantially reduce the backpressure where it counts, right at the exhaust ports. Instead of relying on the pressure of the exhaust gases forcing their way along the passages, these headers rely on a different principle altogether. This is a set of ten stainless steel studs (with an allen drive for easy installation), and serrated face flange nuts. They will replace the factory hardware that rust and break on the Ford 6.8 liter V10 engine. These engines are notorious for needing the exhaust manifolds and hardware replaced. We not only assemble these kits from our stock, but some of us here have also installed them with great results. Why use steel hardware that is just going to rust again?
